Oct 22 2009I'm A Ninja, I Can Do That: Crazy Trampolining
This is a video of Oli Lemieux doing some wild ass trampolining plus wall walking and other ninja-y stuff while practicing for a Cirque du Soleil show. It's pretty cool but I could do it all twice as good but I would never film it because I'm modest. Also, the most handsome man on the planet.
Thanks to The Gurr, MoD, Asbo and Jennie, who once jumped so high on a trampoline they showed up on radar and the government shot missiles at them.

Ok...I'll admit it...I couldn't even come close to doing any of that stuff. However, I still feel that GETTING high on a trampoline should count!!! Then we'll see who the tramp master is! Oh wait...that might be an entirely different competition??

MY MIND HAS JUST BEEN FACKED.... and I thought I was cool cause I could solve my 5x5x5 rubiks cube in 10 minutes... I think there should be a sport where the walls and floors are all trampolines, maybe some kind of trampoline mega basketball or something.
6. finfan - October 22, 2009 5:03 PM
*hugs STOMPY* You don't deserve the treatment you got earlier :( I feel bad when I read those sort of things, who was that person, they seemed vaguely familiar

14. naas - October 22, 2009 5:21 PM
@7 actually I turned off the speakers after the music started because I THOUGHT it was hip hop. I listened to it this time & see I was wrong.
I am sorry about that, it's not hip hop - it's just crap

did you notice how when he went up for each jump he waved a little white surrender flag too/
that / is suppose to be a question mark, and the first letters are suppose to be capitalised, but for some reason my keyboard isn't letting me. odd
16. Squidly - October 22, 2009 5:38 PM
Does anyone know which Cirque show this is? I'm a fan but don't recognize the set.
17. naas - October 22, 2009 5:45 PM
@15 keyboard problems Ollie? I thought when he waved like that he was signaling 'bring cheese le petit fromage!'
18. Gargamel - October 22, 2009 5:46 PM
Did anyone else notice that he kept doing ghey motions with his arms? Just sayin.

A performer died last week while trianing on this apparatus. He missed and landed on his head. So it's sort of Ironic you posted this.
An article about the death.

@20 sad... I wonder how often bad accidents like that happen given the level of difficulty with these stunts. All kidding about french flamboyancy aside, that is terrible to hear
22. Mikko - October 22, 2009 6:26 PM
this is filmed in Sydney.... god that section of the show was awesome!
23. Stormy - October 22, 2009 6:36 PM
@16 This is Dralion
And I have to say, this is so much more awe-inspiring live!!
24. undoings - October 22, 2009 6:46 PM
I love how everyone else is just kinda watching him and the camera with this "stupid show-off douche" face.
That is amazing, this site makes my day.
25. Robert Orlick - October 22, 2009 7:25 PM
I saw this show like 6 months ago
26. Robert Orlick - October 22, 2009 7:28 PM
One of the performers fell when he was winding up to the trampoline to trampoline jump
27. Closet Nerd - October 22, 2009 9:10 PM
@14 given that song is CRAP, it isn't hip-hop.
Rap is crap, and I don't like most rap, but I love hip-hop.
28. wow - October 22, 2009 9:37 PM
Okay I'm not the only one who thought that guy was a show-off douche. I feel better now. Otherwise it's okay I guess. Kind of kept doing the same things over and over but I certainly can't do that
29. David G - October 22, 2009 9:57 PM
LOL!!!! ok so i am an avid reader of Geekologie, and think of my surprise when i see this ariticle about the show i am working on at the moment (i am the automation technican).... that video was taken in japan by one of the old trampo guys..... we are currently in Guadalajara Mexico (stop laughing)
30. AtomicCoffee - October 22, 2009 10:09 PM
I don't care how skilled the performers in Cirque to Soleil are. They're full-on weird. David-Blaine-weird.
Now that I think about it, Olympic athletes are weird too.
31. pirhan - October 22, 2009 11:17 PM
You make my day Geekologist. (Totally most handsomeness man on planet.) :3
32. naas - October 23, 2009 12:16 AM
@28 while I don't want to step on your musical tastes, I did want to correct myself for something I hadn't heard after calling it shitty hip-hop when it's apparently not that. Nonetheless it's not for me so I hope you're not jaded by my opinion
@30 I think it's awesome you're traveling & working, as a traveler myself I find nothing funny nor misfontunate about being in Guadalajara at all - good for you
33. Mr. Anderson - October 23, 2009 1:48 AM
Thats awesome
34. Closet Nerd - October 23, 2009 7:52 AM
@33 I'm not jaded. People like what they like. I was just trying to state that i think people often confuse rap & hip-hop to be the same. Jay-Z and all the crap you hear on MTV (when they play videos) and the radio is rap.
Good hip-hop is groups like The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, Madlib, etc.
I hate that 'bling bling' crap that is popular.
35. JADE - October 23, 2009 9:44 AM
@20 Jeff I don't think that was the same dude, read the names, not the same.
36. Donk Donkerson - October 23, 2009 10:26 AM
If he ever needs to scale a 20 foot wall with a trampoline next to it he's good to go.
37. Jeff - October 23, 2009 1:07 PM
@37 No it's not. But it was the same apparatus. The dead guy was from Europe the video guy is one of us...Or me...French Canadian. I think the guy who died is in the video.
