This bacon soap isn't just bacon shaped, it's made with bacon fat. But how do you keep yourself from eating it in the shower? I don't think you can!
Soap can be made from just about any kind of fat. Even though fat from bacon, called lard, isn't the finest of fats to use for making soap, it somehow seemed to be the most exciting. Why? Because bacon is amazing. It has an almost mystical power to it and is a food that can be craved to almost no end. I figured what better way use the extra grease I had from cooking bacon then to turn it into soap!
If you want make some, there's an Instructable posted with all the details you need to Tyler Durden it up yourself. Unfortunately, I could never do it -- I like to drink all the fat out of pan after cooking. It scalds so good!

How is bacon geeky? If you want to read stuff about bacon is this really the venue for that? Perhaps you bacon lovers should start your own blog about bacon and its related products. Or just check out www.thisiswhyyourefat.com. Then you can get all your bacony goodness and I can come here and get my geek news. And all will be right with the world.

@11 yes this is really a venue for that, welcome to 2009. Have you ever clicked on the 'bacon' tab to see how many posts there are about bacon? Apparently not, otherwise you might know that a few of those posts from thisiswhyyourefat.com have already made it to geekologie.
Feel free to enlighten yourself anytime with a little information on what makes geekologie THAT much better by KNOWING that it's greatness also consists of the occasional bacon posting ALONG with all things geeky great. Got it? Doubt it

Last time I checked Geekologie was a free website. Did you have to pay a membership fee? Are you a stockholder in Geekologie? Then shut the hell up! GW writes about things that geeks like, not just nerd or dorks (although it strays in both areas). Now bacon, dinosaurs, aliens, video games, you tube videos, new technology, ect., ect., these are all things that people find interesting. Just because you don't like one of them does not mean that GW has to curtail his posts just to satisfy you spoiled selfishness. He also posts several times a day. So if you see another bacon post, here’s a thought, just skip over it...

Just so you know I don't mind the bacon posts to the point that I will angrily stop checking the site. I'm just pointing out that while people may think bacon is interesting it is not geeky.
You people (Jaded Icon and naas) also need to get the sticks out of your asses and stop harassing someone just because they don't agree with you. My post wasn't mean, it was just suggesting that a bacon site might be something to start since there is apparently so much interest. I didn't say that I hate GW or you or even bacon. So stop writing such angry posts. Enjoy your bacon but understand that some people think that the site should focus more on geeky things (such as dinosaurs, aliens, new technology, robots, star wars, etc.).

first of all, you suck. also, gw writes about whatever gw likes to write about and whatever those things may be they do not represent all things geek. just because this site is named geekologie this does not guarantee that all content will be in true geek style. there is absolutely nothing geek about bacon. one might attempt to intelligently argue that since so many internet users (idiots) are attempting to make bacon some kind of forced meme that it qualifies as geeky, but that would really just prove what idiots they are. by the way, why would you quote 'ass' and then type *ss? you represent all of the things that are wrong with the internet. now, i'll censor myself, only because i have to to get this posted: go phuck yourself.
