I've seen these before. They are real, full size robotic dinos. Pretty damn cool!

Ugh not even a raptor that's a baby t-rex. geekologiewriter=dinonewb? Or todays posts are totally being ghostwritten.

Well, they can't be fully robotic. You can see the persons legs. You'd think they would've tried to blend in with the dino instead of wearing blue jeans.

@4 I agree. They look like costumes. Still, they're probably the most detailed badass dino costumes in the world.

How is that not CG..... WHAT THE FUĈK DID I JUST WATCH!?!? that was awesome... but it can't be CGI because of the physical dynamics in the studio not can it be robotics because the dino 'flow' too easily in the real, physical world.

Someone please tell how this was done, that was absolutely brilliant

Very impressive to say the least. I want to be the little T-Rex for halloween so I can scare the living hell out of the neighbor kids. They have it coming.

ahh ok I see now, totally missed the running legs the 1st time around. Still awesome though - and I agree @4, why not put some scales on those jeans to blend it all together

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.

This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max was walking and some sneakers fell on his head, later the police came by and arrested him and put him in a jail where he needed to dig holes.

I think they are from the "Walking with Dinosaurs"... they were in Ottawa last month and it was a great and spectacular show.

My observations when I saw this show last month is that the small raptor type dinos were costumes were the rest of them were animatronics.

@4 & 8 I think they had the 'blue' pants on the guy so that they would kind of blend in with the smoke and effects. If they were green, they'd be a lot more noticable.

When the T-Rex was snuggling with the little dino at the end, I was wanting to see the big T-Rex NOM NOM the head of the baby T-Rex.

That was great, I mean really really great. I betcha audience members got chills. @19, I would have loved to see the T-Rex NOM NOM scruff mcgruff's head and the shit it out only to be stepped on by the triceratops. NOW THAT is what I call entertainment.

The wheely bits underneath the robotic ones made it seem a lot less real though, I was disappointed about that but it was still reaaaally cool. Especially when the T-rex leaned over the audience and roared <333333

Yeah I saw these live last year and if you can not look at the sleds underneath you can imagine what they were like. Definitely a good show to go see if it is in your area. Kids love the shit out of it.

I totally saw the walking with the Dinosaurs when it came through Denver!!!! it was seriously bad ass. My life seemed lame ass for about a month after.

i am from germany. and they aired in that show because there is currently a live show with dinosours touring through germany. one ticket is from 40 up to 60 euros. i am poor student. i doubt i can effort that much money. i think i will keep on working on my time machine

WOW. That was beyond Amazing. I also thought it was CGI at first. Then I realized that they were puppets. WOW.

I was so bummed that while watching I realized that it was obviously a Baby T-Rex. Poor Geekologie Writer and his excitement boners.

I believe they are from the BBC's "Walking With Dinosaurs" arena tour based off their award-winning mini-series. I bought tickets for my Mom to see the touring show earlier this year, she said it was unbelievably amazing.

That was AMAZING! There's a full size animated T-Rex in the Natural History Museum here in London but it doesn't walk, just moves its head about and grunts a bit. These things totally beat that!

All they need to do now is use some After Effects to get rid of the dude's legs and the big platforms, and this is perfect.

I just saw this! I am in Vienna, and this show came through the city on its tour... I literally ran down a street to take a picture of one of the robots riding on the back of a truck, i think i'll forward it to geekologie now...

I saw this when it came to Buffalo.... walking with dinosaurs or something along those lines, AMAZING to see in person.

I am really, really digging this show. Well played sir! The actors moving the dinos are pretty good at mimicking animal movement. I wonder if they have a "behind the scenes" where you can find out how much those things cost to make?

get your shit together first off: We are way over dinosaurs....like 2 Jurassic Parks ago. Second: Are you tryin to insinuate that if i were a little German boy in prehistoric times, that i would be happy to see two carnivores scaring away a big ass herbivore (my only chance of living)? i wouldnt bet my strudel on it. and thirdly: T-Rex......Velociraptor, two different species. You dont see me runnin around, hugging a dog, callin it my father.
