Sep 1 2009Volcano-y: Time Lapse Footage Of LA Wildfires

This is some time lapse footage of the LA wildfires as shot by photographer Brandon Riza. As you will see, they are super smokey. And not smokey like "and the bandit" either. Like fire-smokey. And where there's smoke there's....say -- mind if I hit that? Fun fact: Smokey the Bear secretly gets high BUT WILL ONLY USE A VAPORIZER.

Also, FIRST!!!1111one cuz no one else said it yet.

People trying to get first; looks like school finished for the day.

(If you check the other blog posts, there aren't any "first" posts because we mature (sort of, you know who i'm talking about lol) geeks don't do that sort of thing)

I wonder why people start cities next to volcanos.

I grabbed my art, some clothes, external hard drive and my ps3. Birth certificates are for women.

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell it's a fake because the shadows are all wrong.

This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max was at the pub and a large guy interrupted a live performance by turning on the jukebox. Max beat him up and told his friends "...too much weights, not enough speedwork. Useless prick. "

@19...i thought i told you TO HELL!!!!11!!!!!!1 damn you DAMN YOU!

califormula is pretty sweet....aside from the earthquakes, fires, riots, illegals, economy, power shortages, celebrities, and of course...The California Raisins!

Yeah it's right by my house. The mood was orange tonight. My cars covered in ash and the air is thick.

I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

Living next to an active volcano...hmmmm...not a good time to be running out of virgins.

@ 25

Please don't. You're a whore.

FAKE!!!!

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.

This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never BAck Down where Max sits down next to Tyler on the plane. Two strangers meeting, laying out their personality and sizing each other up in just a few words, with no expectations, and — thanks to anonymity — no consequences.

Except in this case, a lot of the time Tyler just screams “COCKS”, punches Max, and jumps out of the window.

I can see this from my apartment towers roof. I just moved to LA two weeks ago and it's already on fire. Ridiculous.

Yeah I live close to this too! It sucks! It rains ash and when the sun shines through the smoke it turns everything an eerie orange color. It feels like being in a creepy movie!

this looks eerily like 9/11...spooky

My comment:

You are an idiot... It's real... So real it's in my back yard! It totally looks like an A bomb was set off cuz there's been a huge mushroom cloud of smoke for days. N yes when it first happened I to thought it looked like a volcano. This video makes it look worse than I thought it was tho... meep!

and...

I just wanted to add I love this site yay for the geekologie writer! ^_^
