Sep 28 2009Sadness: LEGO House Gets Demolished
The LEGO house built by James May for his BBC program Toy Stories was recently demolished after nobody stepped forward to buy and preserve the plastic abode. I would have, but I don't have the money. Or pants (pants? where I'm going I don't need pants). I'm going back to the past! Anyway, this is a little gallery of the demolition. Allegedly the blocks (which were actually donated by LEGO) are going to be used for charity builds in the future. So yeah, that's a silver lining. But not a silver panty liner! Which, haha, HORF HORF HORF HORF HORF.

I would hope it took a little more than a small mallet to destroy a wall. What if someone tripped and hit the wall? but either way. NO!!! It was such a bad ass house. What would have made it amazing is if there were giant lego people in it. :)

the first mistake was not using mega-blocks. kidding... they should have used that gorilla glue stuff to fuse the LEGOs together. the house would have ultimately just become one giant piece of fused plastic. i doubt the wooden frame would even be necessary. who's down for a DUPLO house?

I would rather walk around a junk yard barefoot than take off even one shoe in a house built of legos. Just sayin'. Those damn things can scar you for life (or at least the bottom of your feet) - surprised they weren't another Wham-O product.
