Sep 11 2009Lookin' Bad: Bluetooth Ringphone Concept
Who the hell would actually want to talk to their hand like in the picture is beyond me (where do I sign up?), but Argentinian design team BCK designed this set of rings to use as a Bluetooth headset handset. Also, anybody else notice how the thumb above the ring was drawn in, and the pinky looks like it was torn off and sewn back on by Dr. Frankenstein? I wish mine looked like that.
The user talks to the hand using the yellow ring that fits halfway down the little finger, and then listens with the pink ring on the thumb.
This is one concept that probably won't catch on, ever. Unless you can make a display to put on the palm. Maybe there is some alternate reality where this technology came into fruition.One ring to hear your calls,One ring to talk in,

I like the non-kooky look - the earpieces are too kooky but this looks less so. However I bet it would really hurt your fingers to talk like that for too long, so maybe not such a great idea

This is the ultimate douchebag accessory. I would like to see someone make a bluetooth 2x4 handset so that you can look homeless while yelling "Buy! Sell! Sell!" into it. Then again, I can save myself some $ and just find a 2x4 and do it all on my own and just tell people it's bluetooth. I am fricking bored at work.

this reminds me of a guy i saw in tacoma!! he crossed the street in front of my car, and was holding his hand up to his ear and talking, he didn't look cracked out or anything, but then he turned around mid-intersection and walked past again and i saw he was just holding his hand to his ear like the picture and having a very loud conversation with his crazy. it was awesome!!! i was so excited about it i had to park a few blocks away and take a few deep breaths to calm down...which of course made me gag...tacoma REALLY does stink quite a bit.

This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never BAck Down where Max gets to work from home because he's obese, and he sets up a drinking bird to press enter on the keyboard for him. Great idea, shame it was alredy done a couple of years ago by Jason Bradbury on The Gadget Show by pulling apart a bluetooth headset and gluing it into a glove.
