Sep 9 2009Huuuge Robot Statue Coming To South Korea
If you thought the 59-foot Gundam statue in Japan was large, boy were you wrong. Because South Korea is erecting a massive 364-foot statue (twice as large as the Statue of Liberty) of Robot Taekwon V (aka Voltar the Invincible). Scared? It gets worse. You see, the statue is being built for a new amusement park called Robot Land. Geez, talk about scarring your children for life. This is worse than coming downstairs on Christmas hoping for a Nintendo, only to find your mom gangbanging the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny underneath the tree. Nobody even ate the cookies!

What a gun-dam waste of space & money. Kinda surprised it isn't gonna be one of those manga bitches they're always flashing panty shots of on the front of their "novels". Peeps are sheeps. Ba-a-a-a-a-a-h.
I just hope I live long enough to see when this thing is torn down, and hope they use lots of high-powered explosives to do the job. Now THAT, my friends, will be worth checking out.

just got back from Korea- fantastic time. For a real worthy "statue" in Korea, check out the PRADA TRANSFORMER. Its a building that rotates every week or two depending on the exhibit inside.
And for any of your ignorant monkeys want bad-mouth Korea or any other nation, visit the damn place and get a perspective. And Korea does not "want Japan has"- then again, what country doesn't want giant robots and electronics galore..

We're not flaming Korea--It's a known fact that Koreans have a noticeable tendency of imitating and successful Japanese cultural peculiarities... and turning them into an overkill.
Egypt had the Pyramids,
Rome had the Colosseum,
India the Taj Mahal,
France the Eiffel Tower,
US the Statue of Liberty,
and Korea will have a Mazinger Z body double.
Oh, yeah, the Actual Scale Gundam RX-78 2 is now being dismantled.

Oh, wow, now after the 3D movie with the knock off from Mazinger Z.. we have the knock off of mazinger Z built in real scale...
Well, Sorry korean friends, but is just not cool as Mazinger Z was back on the 70s ..they tried to make it bigger, and "stronger " but Zetto adventures were based on human mind over Robot, struggling to get over its own limitation.... not Bulky Robots doing Taekwon Do moves... yikes.... And surely is not Cool as the Gundam :-)
