Sep 23 2009Help A Brother Out: Geekologie Reader Seeks Manufacturer For Gaming-Inspired Furniture

Loyal Geekologie Reader (or giant liar) Kristian Aus is an Australian designer currently seeking a manufacturer for some of his video game inspired furniture. This is a stool inspired by the Pac-Man ghosts, and there's a Space Invaders table after the jump. Good looking, Kristian. I like how the designs are obviously inspired by the games but not so much to warrant paying royalties. So yeah, contact Kristian through his website if you're into molded plastics. But if you're into molded sandwiches, you gotta check out the fridge. That ham and cheese looks hairy! $1 if you take a bite.
Hit the jump for the Space Invaders coffee table.

Thanks Kristian, I want a free set if it happens.

It is not hard to find a company to manufacture these. I could raddle off a dozen in any state... You just need to pay that manufacturer to produce these works of uselessness. Then you need to get a warehouse to store this crap and a badass sales force to get it out of the warehouse.

There are similarities, but I wouldn't write these off as video game inspired. The stool doesn't resemble a pacman ghost and the table... space invaders? Really? What enemy?
18. Colorless Rainbow - September 23, 2009 7:35 PM
eh, it'd be cooler if nintendo came out with them and they actually looked like the real things and not a blob or "anemone" as it says on the site. these just look ugly. I wouldn't want one in my house. Not even in my closet. XD

Dream, it may look fragile... wait, no it doesn't.
How many pieces of furniture have you broken by sitting on them?
20. ted - September 23, 2009 8:47 PM
i don't mean to be a dick...but maybe leave the video game bit out of it. almost like looking into the sky on a cloudy day and seeing the elephant with bunny ears shaped cloud in the sky if you squint and turn your head 90 degrees.
it looks like a marketing ploy to sell more unsalable wacky furniture. "hey yeah, sure...video games. kids love that shite"
oh and....FRIST!

@19
Rofl, im not fat, its just that logically, the way the 'feet' are on the chair, and kind of bending out, if you would put enough pressure on one side of the chair it could break off. and especially since its plastic.

reminds me of a joke: I get the same thing for Christmas every year. Socks and a piece of ass. They're both too big, but I can only take the socks back.

Meh, these look stupid. I agree with the poster who said that the blue chair looked like it would break somewhat easily. Even if there was a big strut under the chair (which there would have to be), the edges would break under normal wear & tear. Besides which, the chair looks horribly uncomfortable. The average person who would buy this will be looking for something comfortable & something that could withstand duress, neither of which seems to be offered with these products.

if nothing else you could flip the blue one over and poop in there. how much?
