Aug 4 2009What Took So Long?: A Death Star Cookie Jar

death-star-cookies.jpg

I don't know if you could tell, but that's not an actual photograph. It's just some concept art for what the cookie jar should look like when it's actually manufactured in some third world nation for pennies. Available in September for $50, this Death Star cookie jar protects your delectables with a giant, planet destroying laser beam. Okay, maybe just a lid. BUT A LASER WOULD BE COOL TOO, AM I RIGHT? No, I'm left. Haha, who's sinister now?! I kicked an old lady!

Thanks to Julian, who once used the Force to taste brownies while they were still in the oven. Impressive.

HA! First!!

finally ..

it would go great next to my darth vader cookie jar!

Still no bantha slippers, eh?

Bantha Slippers!!!

PEW PEW! i would buy it if it had a laser, and I don't even know what a "Death Star" is, and i've never seen Star Wars, only heard of it. But still, PEW!!

@5
Never seen Star Wars? I dont think you have the right to PEW PEW until you get a life and watch more television.

Actually that's not a cookie jar - it's a drawing. SO in terms of what took so long it's still taking so long. Also if you have a pencil you could turn this into a car. Maybe cut a window and turn it into a house. Either way it's still a drawing. Did you draw it yourself?

Cool idea.

6 - Not I said the fly.

@GFS Thumper found that one sometime last fall by I have no idea & asked about it here. I don't know if she ever got an answer

10 - I think this listing is a bit different. The one I found was a blurb on the NBD article re: Daisy's meme.

@11 ahh I stand corrected, that's right.... That was about NDB, sorry to have misref'd that

"Come to the dark side. We have cookies"

Also, FAKE! Photoshop or it didn't happen.

OLD!!!

I saw this in the local paper a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Get with it GW....

That's no cookie jar...

It's a space station.

ahhh help i'm drawn to it. I can't resist wahhh - dude you shouldn't have ordered it with tractor beam...

..STOMPYs goliathan nut

$50 for a cookie jar???

Now if they made Wookie Cookies and put them in that jar I'd be all for it...

#15 - ah crap, you beat me to it.....

star wars? AND cookies?

sheeeeeit all i need now is a jedi body massage and my day is set.

I don't see what this has to do with Twilight. That's why we're all here, right?

We can't repel deliciousness of that magnitude!

Left, sinister, and the Death Star. I wonder how many got the pun?

@13, Thats exactly what I was thinking!
No way I would buy this though, maybe if it did have laser beams, then it'd help with the whole ppl stealing cookies from the cookie jar, not on my watch!

@ 8

You would normally be correct but GW also listed a product site. If you go to it you will see that purchasing one is possible. The only iffy thing is that the picture that GW posted is the only one they give as a description of it.

I'm pretty sure it was a conspiracy between FAH-Q and SmokingGirl. You know you can never really trust women......at least that's what my mom says.

@27

Your mother is a wise woman. You can't trust her, though.

I would never do anything to besmerch the world of Geekologie. How dare you, Jaded. I'm sure it was YOU all along! That's right, I'm accusing you now. Hahahahaha!

But you are right about never trusting women. We are a sneaky lot...

@ 29

IF I did have anything to do with it I'm sure it was because I was an unwitting pawn in your dubious scheme, that or you promised to flash me your funbags (for which I might add, you never did...........which proves I had nothing to do with it) HA, lets see you explain yourself out of this SmokingGirl!

@ GFS

That's the advice my dad gave me.
