Although Nintendo didn't actually announce a new Zelda at E3 (but did announce a new Metroid, Super Mario Galaxy and WiiFit), here's some concept art shown by Shigeru Miyamoto to a group of game developers at a following conference.
I don't know about you, but that's no Princess Zelda. Could it be, as so many are speculating, the living incarnation of the Master Sword?
ZOMG -- the master sword chick doesn't have any arms! And I, for one, am not ashamed to admit that I would be totally cool hitting that. Armless swords are people too, you know.

@18 the "wii makes you slim playing it" thing is a myth... i gained 40 lbs the first year i had a wii
you learn the movements just right and can play zelda like a pro from a recliner with casual flicks of the wrist...your arms barely have to even move just goot wrist dexterity (i bet i can shoot from the hip like a old west bandit now)
regarding the left handed link debochle...they made link right handed solely because of the motion attack system...and since im a lefty...im also a bit jaded about it but thye didnt want the right handed people to have to conform to anything.... god forbid

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max was trying to influence the Judge to give him the caddy scholarship, and when asked where he was planning on attending college the judge said - the world needs ditchdiggers too.

@21 - I'm actually very confused because I wasn't talking about anything involving wii... However the motion sensor IS easily exploited by lazy people. As far as lefties having to conform... some rediculously small % of people are actually left handed hence the ever-lasting shaft. That's what you get for going against human nature... you freaks.

Yeah, Link WAS left-handed up until the Wii port of Twilight Princess. But since Nintendo in all of their supreme glory decided that every Wii game was designed for 'righties' (like myself and the vast majority of, I don't know, everybody) they had to mirror a whole bunch of stuff in TP (from the original GC version) and now I guess they're just gonna keep Link right-handed.
If this is the only thing wrong with new Legend of Zelda games, I don't wanna be right! ...no pun intended...

It's hard to get excited about Nintendo preparing to further mutilate its franchise. They've forgotten what Zelda really is, and thus haven't made an actual Zelda game since the 90s.

That's the chick from windwaker, we've seen her in previous games. Wii ruined it by changing link to a righty... I wish that nintendo didn't go down the wrong path with this wii so that i could be more excited for the idea of a new zelda.

have you ever played the old games or do you call yourself one cause you played ocarina of time?
the shadow world idea (I assume that they just reincarnated it) in Twilight Princess is from LOZ 3:Link's Awakening.
and there wasn't a "miror of twilight" it was just called "magic mirror" in which you were able to make a portal to the opposite world that you were in in the same spot. its only how you got like 5 extra hearts in LOZ 3. I think the only thing that really bothered me about Twilight Princess is how much they changed around all the lore (or tried to). I do like that they bring back ALOT of LOZ 3 though, replay LOZ 3 and then replay Twilight Princess and you'll see what I mean
