In what will probably be the awesomest news I'll hear all day, Swedish women in Malmö have officially won the right to go to public pools with their knockers hanging out. *sniff* I think we're really making progress here.
...some on the council had lobbied for wording which would have required women to keep their nipples covered, but Forsberg explained that attempting to enforce such a rule would have been too complicated.
"We don't define what bathing suits men should wear so it doesn't make much sense to do it for women. And besides, it's not unusual for men to have large breasts that resemble women's breasts," he said.
OH HO, you just had to sneak a manboob burn in there didn't you? I'M WORKING ON THEM, OKAY? And by working on I mean fondling. Oooh la la.

As a Swedish woman, I think the right to go topless is given when you consider all the gross ongoings in public pool facilities [kids peeing in the pool, obese men with tiny swimming trunks, people shaving their legs and privates in the dressing rooms]. How offensive are breasts in this context, really?
But #14 Angel makes a point. If you go topless INDOORS you're kind of an attention whore because what other reason than tanning is there for not wearing a bikini top?

You can all come to Toronto. For years now, any woman is allowed to be in public topless. At the beach, public pool, mowing the lawn - all perfectly legal, folks. Not many people take advantage of it, and the ones that do aint all that hawt, but still... we think a little different up here.

What are you talking about. It has been legal for women to be topless in the entire province of Ontario for over ten years - I remember, because I was in high school at the time and half the girls celebrated by rollerblading topless down the main street of our town.

NY state's had this law for some time too; but that also included some sort of boob tax, so no one goes topless.
