The myth about samurais and their invincibility when it comes to swords is, pardon the pun, a double edged blade. A real samurai that specializes in the sword IS very impressive. Unfortunately everyone expects superhuman feats from them and when they don't slice through metal doors people are disappointed. I think its still cool as hell.
