Jun 8 2009Evading The Red Army: Russian Freerunning
Not to be outdone by wicked sickness that is ninja boy, this is an older video of some wicked Russian freerunning/climbing. It's pretty impressive and if I had even half those moves I would have spent a lot less in the slammer learning about love and relationships and bartering one's ass for cigarettes. Regardless, I think we can all agree that the world would be a much different place now if the Ruskies had this intelligence during the Cold War. Read: I'd be drinking vodka right now. Wait, I am drinking vodka right now. I HEART YOU RUSSIA!
Send me a bride.
Thanks to AmericanKGB, who may or may not be working both sides. I suspect he is.

FAKE!!!!
Thisd is a completre photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never BAck Down where Max was sneaking around in a cardboard box in the Del Tacos parking lot, and someone jumped out the window, landing on the box, which squashed his container of Bacon flavored ice cream.

Too bad Texas doesn't have any abandoned buildings like this where I live.
Parkour would be wayyyyy more interesting, and maybe I could have stuck with it.
Oh well. Russia here I come!

Love the insanely glitchy camera whenever the movement is too fast...
Also - I'm pretty sure this is the first thing that was ever put on the internet.

i stopped playing ninja at 12, but if i hadn't i would be gross to the power of bitchin'. I would do a whole segment on my cat claw climbing technique alone...and finish off with a Sai climbing demonstration/ attack combo. Then, if there was still time I would break blocks of ice with my junk, ask out your mom, and score on the first date. Thats how cool I would be. I would climax with a mighty KEEEEEYAAAAH, and disappear into a smoke bomb made of the dankest herb, leaving my date high as a kite, and wanting more. Tell your Dad. Im sure he already knows, but remind him.

omg this is even older than the internet! This was filmed shortly before Germany invaded Russia in WW2! He was actuall trained to assassinate Hitler and stop the Germans from invading Russia.
Unfortunately this guy broke his neck when he slipped in the showers!
The rest is history!

33. bobfart - June 8, 2009 10:24 PM

34. Professor Shitpants - June 8, 2009 10:39 PM
They're putting up French rap (mostly from Marseille, by the way) because the Parkour, called as such, was created in France by the Yamakasi. I see this as some kind of tribute.
This impressive technique and its increasing popularity urged filmakers and producer to release movies such as "Yamakasi", "District B13" and its follow up "District B13 Ultimatum" where you can see an impressive amount of amazing stunts, all compensating for the lack of background story, scenario, acting talents and a few other things...
Still, this video is quite old and I'll never understand why this guy spend so much time jumping back and forth above the stair rails at 5:00
35. MunkyBox - June 8, 2009 11:32 PM
Older than dirt video
Entertaining though.

I appreciate all the effort it must take to regularly update Geekologie with interesting (and geeky) news and entertainment. And I'm not usually one to point out that a link or a video is old but...this video is so old! I mean, it must be almost 4 years since I watched this!
38. Tarponejs - June 9, 2009 2:34 AM

Guys! Guys! And pseudo guys like GRAMMARNAZI.....GW is just putting stuff up that's cool and geeky. Yes, you may have seen this stuff before, but it hasn't been on this site till now. Besides with all the twelve yr olds on this site, EVERYTHING is a new experience for them. So lets do it for the kids! Now I gotta go because I'm not allowed to be within 50 ft of them. HAHAHA don't worry its not a legal thing. I'm just highly allergic to innocence.
