Jun 16 2009Death Is No Match For Captain America

That's right folks, like a phoenix rising from the ashes of a burnt comic, the original Captain America is coming back for more ass-kicking action.
"REBORN is the next chapter in the larger story that I've been building in [CAPTAIN AMERICA] since issue #1," explains the writer, who launched this current volume in 2004. "This is a chance to really explore how things have changed in the years since Steve's death and really delve deep into who Steve Rogers is and why he became Captain America. It's a really a [story] with two or three different plotlines that all intertwine, which is a lot of fun and allows us to have [both] in-your-face action and quiet character moments."
"We've been planning the story of Cap's return virtually from the moment that he died"
Wow, does nobody stay dead anymore? I mean, Jesus. Seriously, you started this.
Reborn Revealed [marvel] (click for a much more detailed look at the series)
Thanks to FDSY, who plans to zombie it up himself someday.

Nobody stays dead in the comics. (Hal Jordan Green Lantern, Captain Marvel, etc).
When a comic becomes stale, they kill off somebody. When it becomes stale again, they bring someone back to life.

12. Quik - June 16, 2009 5:12 PM
Yeah, there were a handful who actually stayed dead for over thirty years, and you kinda liked that about them. Made them memorable.
But, they've brought them all back in the last few years. Totally ruined the characters.

Instead of bringing back the dead, why not do a related character. I.E.
Captain South America
Batman died, let's have ChiropteraMan now.
Superman died, let's have PrettygoodMan
Who else died? I'll figure out a good reboot name for them. MooseKnuckle?
15. Moose Knuckle - June 16, 2009 6:02 PM
Let's see..
They already brought back the previous Flash (Barry Allen), Green lantern (Hal Jordan), Colossus, the 2nd Robin (Jason Todd), Bucky (current Captain America), Illyana Rasputan (Magik)...
Jean Grey's been dead awhile (Phoenix),
Bring on Jane Brown The Garuda, (or mebbe The Tulsa?)

FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max built a closet on Baja's yacht. Baja refused to pay him, and threw his tools in the water. later Baja got amnesia, and Max posed as her husband in order to get her out of the hospital and exact revenge.

Not to sound like an ass.....ok maybe a little, but wasn't Gilgamesh the first written person to come back to the land of the living? Even if that doesn't count since many consider him fictional, there are other things to consider. Jesus raised from the dead 3 people:
1. the only son of a widow from Nain (Luke 7:11-14)
2. the daughter of the religious leader Jairus (Mark 5:22-43)
3. Lazarus (John 11:1-44)
And that folks is my religious contibution of the day, brought to you by Wikipedia.

aaaaand that is why superhero comics are a damn joke.
manga has the bad pacing and the lack of innovation
euro comics are cool but expensive and in french
alternative comix is the best.
besides autobio.
I haven't had sex in like a year.

If i remember well already in the eighties i read in a comic they found Captain America somewhere frozen in ice after he was disappeared for years.

thats the rule of marvel comics... only uncle ben stays dead
31. DragonXero - June 23, 2009 5:34 AM
Did anyone really expect him to stay dead? I've been waiting for Marvel to bring him back one way or another. I honestly thought the whole Secret invasion thing was going to be how they BSed their way to having him come back, and that would have actually been plausible, if not a little too expected. Luckily they didn't do it then, but why do it at all?
I guess it's true, the only character who stays dead in Marvel is Uncle Ben.
