Jun 19 2009Augmented Reality Zombie Hunting Game
This is a video of an augmented reality game designed by the Georgia Tech Augmented Environments Lab and the Savannah College of Art and Design - Atlanta. It's called 'ARhrrrr', which, despite sounding piratey, is actually a zombie game. It's pretty cool too. You play the game with a video phone and a pack of Skittles. I shit you not, Skittles. Taste THIS rainbow, undead whores! BOOSH BOOSH!
Thanks to Ryan, Yopoleo and Anna, who will definitely be on my zombie hunting squad should the need arise....from the dead. ZING!

This game looks awesome, I could totally see something like begin for the iPhone. Probably the 3G Ass though. It has the correct camera orientation and hopefully the processing power.
This reminds me a lot of the Optimus Prime helmet site. Takes real worl pictures and overlays a graphic in real time.

This is a complete photoshop job. you can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong,.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max was looking for evidence of ghosts in a friends apartment. He annoyingly played the two highest notes on the piano, and explained it bugs the heck out of the ghosts. Later he mocked Vlad the impaler.

Monetary inflation, which saps the buying power of your dollars, is intentionally caused by the expansion of the money supply which is, in turn, controlled by the Federal Reserve ( a private organization, owned by member banks who are, in turn, owned primarily by wealthy investors). The net effect is a hidden tax on Americans' income and savings (a tax most people never notice).
In an honest economy, the money supply would remain constant, and the annual inflation rate would be zero. Inflation is not natural, it's a manipulation that acts as hidden taxation.
This has been a Public Service Announcement ...but I digress.....

I'm assuming your new because you may of thought that they actually thought it was fake. Go to the other post's comments and you'll see what I'm talking about.

This is pretty kewl. Anyone know if they are using an iphone in hte demonstration? If so, this could be available to the general public pretty soon.
Along with a foldable map area, you would get an SD card containing the game(s).

@34 dats funny, but i think som ppl wuldnt like it, but wat de hell. now if there's gonna be skittles in the game i'm totally up for it. i wish every game i play needs skittles "taste my rainbows zombies =]" if i could throw some glitter and unicorns(colorful ones) too would be so freakinnn awsome. imagine playing CoD:WaW and the dogs r pretty unicorns and the red skittles r claymores, blue skittles r C4, pink skittles r granadaz and the flash granadaz r sparkly glitter. now dat wuld b superr AW.SOME.!
