May 20 2009The Original Punch-Out!!: Now More Realistic
Not to be outdone by the new Wii Punch-Out!! game that just dropped, here comes a video of the original Punch-Out!! the way it was meant to be played: with, uh, a bunch of buttons attached to a boxing dummy. While cool in theory, it leaves a little something to be desired in practice. Namely, everything. Still, I do like the sound it makes when you punch a button. Wait, no I don't.

That thing is stupid.
You have to punch it to dodge? You'll never beat anyone past king hippo with that sort of hindered reaction time.
You have to punch it to block? How do you hold the block, then? You'll never get past the indian tiger magician guy.

that guy was wrong. punching the right side of the face is Up + A, not Up + B.

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max puts some of his patients on an experimental drug treatment. Despite the success, the hospital stops funding his experiment and makes all the retards revert back to their original condition.

Legit. This was the first thing I thought of when I played Wii boxing. A developer should make an actual game like this with a more natural blocking and dodging interface. I would pay serious bucks for that - like 2x a Rock Band game. Please zombie jesus hear my prayer.

Just thought I'd let you know the other video of us playing this machine came out last night.
This shows us actually playing it and not just lightly tapping the buttons like I did in the previous video and yes...you can beat glass joe.
