May 1 2009Don't Buy .tv Domain Names, Island Is Sinking
If you try to register a website with a .tv domain (country code for Tuvalu) from Godaddy, a pop-up warns you that the island is sinking and recommends you reconsider. I have no idea what this has to do with anything, just thought I'd pass it along in case you were in the market. And not just because I get a cut of all .gw domains registered, but I do. Guinea-Bissau: where the internet happens. Impressed? You should be, I came up with that slogan all by myself. Geekologie: where geniusness happens. Oh shit -- I just did it again!

Thanks to Chris, who started a petition to create .crs domains, but the idea was shot down by an old World War II fighter plane.

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene int he movie NEver BAck Down where Max went for a 3 hour tour around hawaii and ran into a storm, which washed the ship aground on an uncharted desert isle. It was primitive as can be.

Oh wait it's an island, there's no where to run to, and it's an island, it can't actually sink. The ocean level can rise but the island remains in the same place. Oh those poor Tuvaluian Throat Singers. They better hope El Niño blows through again so the sea levels will drop about 11 inches like happened the last time ! Regardless of the fact that the atoll has been steadily taking on water, probably due to overpopulation and poor land use (most likely) the Pacific Ocean is in fact not rising anywhere.
STOP BLAMING EVERYTHING ON GLOBAL WARMING IDIOTS. Because as we know the whole Global Warming Scam is as about fake as the Nigerian emails I get every week, telling me how to get loads of money.

Is there somewhere I can look these up (if I get interested enough) to see what these all mean.
I have my own domain that ends with .ws don't know (care) what it means.

.ws is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Samoa. It is administered by SamoaNIC, for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Samoa.
The .ws domain is an abbreviation for "Western Samoa", the nation's official name when two-letter country codes were standardized in the 1970s

Yes because according to the ICANN rules for domain registration, when this occurs the .tv domain names must be phased out.
It is not a hoax or fake.
