Apr 7 2009Violence Escalates Between Twilight Fans (Twihards) And Non-Twilight Fans (Anti's)

That's right folks, diehard Twilight fans (Twihards) are waging war on their non-teen vampire loving brethren (Anti's) for talking smack on the series. Thankfully, there's a discussion board that has collected all the cases of Twihards attacking Anti's with books, bricks, knives and flare guns. I'm sure some of them are fake, most are poorly written, but a couple of them were pretty funny. They're broken into categories, depending on the severity of the attack, ranging from slap on the wrist, to police worthy, to felony. You know, I always suspected these books were brainwashing readers into lives of violence. This Twilight series is even worse than gangster rap! And, oh God, my girlfriend is one of them! BURN IT WITH FIRE!

I work at a book store. I HATE these girls who come in looking for the Twilight books.
And yeah, ditto @ 9. You guys are no better than those Twilight idiots.

Harry Potter, and now Twilight, but at least I never heard Harry Potter fans get violent, just really obsessed. Everybody just needs to chill. Even if the stories are fake, they are too many to say that none of them have happened. If you like something, cool, if somoene else doesn't like it, cool! And if you start thinking they deserve to die because they don't share your interests, then you deserve to be in an institution, or die.

14. Intermino - April 8, 2009 12:30 AM
Am I the only one who finds this worrying? I mean, I know that some of those stories are probably fake, but the fact that there's so many of them means that at least a few have to be true, which I think is just freakin' ridiculous, those Twitards really need to calm down.

Every fandom has it's crazies. However never have I seen such a large and disproportionate number of illiterate, low functioning, and/or 'fans' as with the Twilight sort. It's like most of them have never picked up, let alone read, another book in their entire lives...

Forgot to add my support for #11. Very well said.

So has no one actually followed any of the links on that page? I hardly think that a blog-like forum post about epic acid-throwing Twilight fits are reliable sources. Especially if those writing it can't differentiate homonyms ("Your 19").
Though, for the record, it's not that I don't believe that Twilight fans are both retarded and prone to fits of violence.
27. SmokingGirl - April 8, 2009 9:53 AM
I'm a "Twilight" fan, I admit it...but even I find the Twihards annoying. The books are "popcorn" reads, nothing more, nothing less; but what do you expect when you're involving teenage girls?
28. Rob - April 8, 2009 11:07 AM
speaking of violent twilight fans, one of my friends works at the local movie theater and (somehow) a small group of people sneaked in a bow and arrow, and apparently they were planning on shooting the screen at some point
the thing is all these teens had really tight pants on, so sneaking a bow in would be quite hard, we're thinking they got it in through a back door
29. John - April 8, 2009 11:48 AM
You have a girlfriend?
30. Daisy - April 8, 2009 11:53 AM
FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back down where MAx and Baja captured Jimmy James the vampire and confined him to a lawnchair in the basement where they milked him for his blood. They wouldn't even let him have a red stapler, or let him play his radio at a reasonable volume. They even kept him from eating cake.

I believe the phrase is "pull her apart and burn the pieces"
These Twi-rps are srsly effed

When I went to that Twilight Sucks message board, my virus scan went off about a suspicious file downloading to my temp internet files? I'd be careful if you click that link.

Thanks GW, this needed to get out there about the obsessive fans going nuts.
34. Cassidyasaurus - April 8, 2009 3:21 PM
Wow. I really hope Stephenie Meyer is happy that she has loyal subjects are off running around beating people with bats and chairs because they think they're shirt plastered with edward on it was stupid.
Man I mean I personally am starting to find this series to be scum. Mind you i DID like it, but as sad as it is I think the fact that there are times when fans ruin the quality of something. It's ok to be a fan, but when it gets to the point where there's attempted throat slitting i think it's best time to hitch up your pants and run. Or hold a mass intervention in a stadium somewhere.

Sorry to say darlings, but you're all as whacked out as these Twilight fans. You seriously believe these bloody stories without ANY, and I mean ANY, sort of real-life, real-media evidentiary support? Give me some links to actual newstories reporting some of this crap and I'll gladly join the madding crowd of NTFs. Trust me, I was jonesing for some crazy, psychotic stories about this supposedly rampant, violent phenomenon cause by diehard fanaticism. But I was sorely disappointed by the excuses: "there is no media here on the island", "my friends can tell you its true", "i was somewhere where i couldn't call the police", etc. Either you all have some sort of anonymity-based affliction resulting in hyperbole and exaggeration or you're all ridiculously bored/gullible.
Seriously. If some of these "stories" are true, there should be police reports, etc. but I'm detecting the faint whiff of post-pubescent, bored/lonely teenager BS. Show some links to real media outlets.

Oh my freaking gawd...did you guys read any of that drivel? I could have come up with a better story about being raped by a platypus.
Granted, I'm sure there are some freaks out there, but Jesus Christ those stories were just that, stories.
But again, what do expect when you have an issue that involves teenage girls (or guys for that matter)? Because I am highly doubtful that anyone over the age of 16 posts on that blog/site/whatever. Just saying.
42. ... - April 9, 2009 7:00 PM
omg, twilight is amaazing!! otherwise they wouldn't have made a film wich was summat like the second most independant film of 2008. but does anyone actually think these stories are true!! oust to those who do
43. JFreezy - April 10, 2009 5:35 PM
@38,
I'm reading you loud and clear, baby. When do you want me to expose myself to you? (I will do it in the sunlight of course, so my erotic sparkles seduce you *wink, wink*)
44. All - May 19, 2009 7:05 PM
To comment number 37.
Though I agree I would very much like some hard evidence that these events actually took place, not all police involvement type activities result in news worthy articles.
I myself have been present for a shooting, I was staying at a motel with my younger brother watching cheap t.v. while my parents where out on a food run. The man firing the gun stood somewhat outside of our room and was aiming at a woman who was staying in the room above us. Several of the bullet wholes were only inches away from hitting our door, and these doors weren't all that thick. The front desk called the police, they came and asked us some questions and later found the man in a different room in the same motel.
One of the officers said this might make the local news so after moving to a different hotel I stayed up all night and waited all the next day for it to be publicized on several local news channels. It never was.
Now granted that gun crimes are fairly common and this crazy shooter was not a Twitard but still I just wanted to point out that not all crimes get their fifteen minutes of fame in the eyes of big media news.

Twilight fans need to learn to get along. Twilight is the best we twilight fans need to be best buddies.
46. MTVmaster92 - July 18, 2009 6:55 AM
A lot of the attacks on that page are legit. Some even have photos of physical damage done by the attacker. It's horrible that these fans attack non-fans because of their opinions. Are we living in Germany circa 1939? It certainly seems like it.
