Apr 24 2009Modern Samurai Returns With More HI-YA
I'm not sure if you enjoyed the last episode of Isao Machii: Modern Samurai as much as I did, but if you didn't, you should watch it again until you do. Then we can start a book club. But instead of books we'll discuss Youtube videos and drink beer. Plus, if you're a chick, we could make out. Hell, even if you're not but willing to wear a Dilophosaurus costume. Anyway, I'm sure you've just been chilling till the next episode, but chill no longer, because here she blows. The highlights:
0:45: Isao cuts the wick off a burning candle. The GW begins practicing for his next birthday party.
2:30: Isao cuts the skin off a piece of asparagus. My pee smells funny after I eat asparagus.
4:40: Isao slices the tail off an arrow that's been shot at him. I reconsider bringing a bow and arrow to a samurai sword fight.
8:30: Isao cuts a steel plate in half without bending or warping the piece at all. I consider hiring Isao for future construction jobs.
Well folks, there you have it, the latest from a modern Samurai. And now, the latest from a modern Don Juan:
Last night: Woman at the bar rejected all my advances, despite my insistence I could make her internet famous. Went home alone and treated myself to a stranger in the bathtub.
Too romantic?
Thanks to Tom and Jason, who can cut through steel with just a glance and have to wear those special shades Cyclops wears. Just kidding, they're fake Oakleys.

My pee also smells funny after I eat asparagus. I never knew if it was the asparagus or the olive oil I was cooking it in. I never ate one without the other and don't cook anything else in olive oil. I'm just glad to know it isn't just me out there, and that someone else knows what's up. In fact, I smell conspiracy. GW, please do an investigative report into why asparagus effects us like this.

8. catch22 - April 24, 2009 11:00 AM
family names
its going to definately be simon lucas or lucas simon
his brother is named Isan Lewis
we are afraid that simon lucas might be too similar
lucas simon doesnt flow as well naturally (when you are yelling at the kid you want the full name to flow well)
we would call him luke if it was lucas
i am not one of those retarded parents that wasnt to use some bizzare spelling of some redicuous name (we already cursed the first one with a lifetime of never being able to find personalized novelty things)
9. catch22 - April 24, 2009 11:07 AM
and yes ive gone through the ridicule
lucas... mucus...luke-ass..... lucas with the lid off... george lucas...luke skywalker... cool hand luke....
simple simon...simon says... simon cowell... simon phoenix... simon the game... simon birch... simon & simon...
luca

Honestly, I'd marry him. Or at least hit it.
He's that amazing.
The only thing that would make him more awesome was if he was slicing bacon into micromillimeters or something.
Or if he rode in a fire-breathing dino to cook the bacon after he cooked it.
I'm all hot and bothered now.
Hmmm....
GW, if you get a firebreathing, bacon cooking dino, I'll consider it.

Japanese tv is like that most of the time, it was great. They subtitle everything that say in japanese even though they're speaking japanese, it's all very colorful

Can he cut it? Then, please look. Kurata... (one-TWO-three) :D
25. Daisy - April 24, 2009 4:05 PM
FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where MAx loses his job as a masseur. when he asks his boss why he was fired he's told its because you rub people the wrong way.

Catch 22 - Lucas Simon rolls more naturally to me than Simon Lucas.
Lucas Simon- when you're made it would come out as "LOOKSIE" roughly speaking of course. I find that funny as hell.
27. daisytroll - April 24, 2009 4:58 PM
daisy's comments are a waste of space
28. nᵑaᵃaᵃsᶳ - April 24, 2009 5:37 PM

32. Galtacticus - April 24, 2009 8:12 PM
It looks easy but it takes years,if you're talented, and sometimes a lifetime to reach this level.
33. Sammywa - April 25, 2009 4:04 AM
It's a shame he's not very good looking. The ladies would be ALL over him if that were the case.
Also the caricature of the host dude with the blonde hair looks dumb.
34. john - April 25, 2009 5:55 AM
A true Samurai would never entertain an audience as though he was a circus attraction.
This man is no Samurai, he just does swordplay for tips.
35. Tanner M - April 25, 2009 10:09 PM
What a great video... this is exactly why I visit geekologie.
Intriguing videos that I wouldn't find otherwise.
Thanks!!!!

Apparently, the Japanese have confused Aluminum sheeting for iron plating. I'd imagine iron plating being a bit denser.
