Apr 9 2009Eva? No, A WALL-E Computer Case Mod

wall-e.jpg

We've already seen Gamecube WALL-E, LEGO WALL-E, paper WALL-E, and wooden WALL-E, so it was only a matter of time before somebody went and case-modded the handsome little devil.

This project took 18 days from this Russian guy to accomplish. It all has began after he has watched that cartoon. An idea sparked thru his head "I want to build such thing to hold my computer stuff in it". A solid-metal Wall-E computer case, each detail carefully cut from the metal sheets processed and put in place.

Nice. I posted a couple more pictures of the finished product after the jump, but if you hit the link you'll be magically transported (thank you, internet!) to the build page with like a hundred billion-zillion incredibly slow-loading pictures of all the milling and metalwork that went into the thing. And speaking of things going into things....WALL-E was a trash compactor. I AM THE TIE-IN KING!

Hit the jump for a bunch more of the cuteness.

Maybe an EVA one...
or.. the little barsterd MO.
:)

I love the idea... maybe a few servos in there... hmmmm where are my metal shears?....

and between his eyes, a *PEW**PEW* beam! :)

Loving it.

@3 actually... I believe ion is called IRON... his 'R' key doesn't work well :P

@5 actually i think he needs a non stick key board or aim better when

Job well done!

In the 2nd pic after the jump is he showing the onscreen wall-e the size of his unit?

WTF?! Parallel, serial, PS2 PORTS?! What is this, 1999? No DVI? Let me guess, a 10/100 NIC? USB 1.1??

Besides, WALL-E was created by Pixar who was owned by Steve Jobs who runs Apple, Inc. Therefore it should be a Mac Mini in there, which would probabaly leave tons of room for a cupboard on the front ( for trash! )

I havent seen Wall-E yet.

Is it any good? Should I expect to watch this with kids?

Excellent work!

@9, yeah, all that stuff you said is true, but the guy who built this case mod is heterosexual...

@12

And you're not.

@9--Disney now owns Pixar, and did before the release of Wall-E.

cool mod, i wonder if the tracks work?
@10 Yeah, it's a great movie to see with kids. I loved it, reminded me a little of Short Circuit

@14

That's why I said "was owned" instead of "owns". English, its great! You should learn it some time!

@14

Quit trying to be smart. Steve Jobs sold Pixar to Disney for Disney stock. He now is the largest single share holder of Disney stock and he has a place on the board of directors. Indirectly, Steve Jobs is still running Pixar.

@fSN

I know you hate apple. I don't care. Hate it all you want. I was just keeping the masses informed.

Dude needs to spend his money on upgrading that 1980's 12" monitor, rather than making a stoooopid Wall-E case-mod that he posts on the internet and then gets made of his monitor size for.

Doh..."...and then gets made fun of for his monitor."
Don't know how I f'd that up.

BITCHIN'!!!!!

Eeeeeeh! I want it i want ahhhh! XD

Yeah I agree, the idea is nice but the specs are dated

Ah Lame all over, i would've just made the whole thing better, mac specs naturally, hooked up with a projected keyboard so can be used on any surface or onto the opened up front bit and got one of them new mini projectors hooked up in his eyes or his chest somewhere for monitor, now that'd be wall-e style

You finally convince her to come over for a little action & the next thing you know it's, uh WALL-E yes yes yes!!! You got to be careful with that little Casanova.

So cool!
