I'm glad you feel comfortable and proud in general with your lifestyle. I would argue that this is important for one's well being. Right now I am eating a bowl of cheerios at school :( and reading this site which I have not been on for 3 years :p. I've been eating for about 5 minutes by now and expect this message to take a few more minutes of my time and then I will leave. The reason why this is a rare event for me to be here is because I am in graduate school working exteremly hard towards the development of more efficient renewable energy sources, as an undergrad I majored in chemistry and engineering and currently I am working with nanoparticles. The manifestation of man's lazinees, his greed, and igrnorance in the form of actual worldwide events has lead us to this point in our history and we are allowed, as always, to decide our own fate. We can all contribute to a solution through various avenues, we do not all have to deciate ourselves to science. Unfortunatley a lot of people deicde to do nothing benefical with themselves. They choose to embrace the majority of man's vices and live off of the work others have done so that they may be comfortable and "have fun" all the time. What have you contributed Reenaye? How is it you are proud of yourself, what have you done that allows you to be produd? I am not being critical of you, I am asking you to defend your statments regarding your pride because I am proud of my lifestyle and my work, we can't possibly be talking about the same attribute can we? From my observations gaming and pornography are utilites to some, however typically are a waste of ones time, an entertainment per se. Entertainment is not bad, but if this is all one has to be proud of an "entertainer / likes to be entertained" than being proud is essentially meaningless to anybody who knows what this attribute really is. Lastly, you must loose weight. It is unhealthy for you and I am not a "hater". Please for your own health take the action now to avoid almost certain health problems later which are fatal. Honestly without knowing you at all I would argue that you could be proud of your lifestyle choices which promote the idea of high cholesterol and its consequences, nothing else.

Give her a break. I don't think a person should be given crap over physical appearance. Obviously she doesn't have any issues with her body image given her responses. There is nothing wrong with this, in fact it's healthy from the neck up and that it what matters more than anything. I wonder how many of these people bitching about her have 6% body fat or can finish an ironman competition? I know I can't.
If someone is comfortable with themselves and their body image why care? I work with people who are overweight and have friends who are too. Some are comfortable with how they look and some are hypocritical jackasses. The bottom line is that if you have issues with the way she looks, you probably have something wrong with your own body image. People are attracted to personalities more than physical appearance and everyone has their own preferences. It sounds like she has a great personality. I would tell her to keep doing what she's doing, obviously she's comfortable with it.

I just can't understand why someone would want to be chained down like that, under all that weight. I'm functional. I donate blood and my stats are fine. In fact, one of the only issues I had was low iron due to my excessive use of caffeine and stimulant drinks (they rob the body of iron).

I'm not hopping and skipping and jumping. Which I do miss, but hell, I'm a cube rat. If I skip and jump through the halls, I'm going to get tested for drugs.. I come from a long line of big people. It is genetic and you have to fight your basic genetics to overcome it. Can I overcome it? Of course! Do I want to? Nah. I'm lazy.

In fact, I recently started smoking (because the fat thing wasn't dodgy enough). I have stress in my life and when comfort foods don't help, the carbon monoxide does.

Being big isn't a great thing. Just like being skinny isn't a great thing. However, I'm not convinced that obesity is worse than starvation. A friend of mine starved herself to the point of blindness. I have eaten a LOT of food,but I have never eaten so much that I couldn't see.

Ok, maybe I can't see my feet when I stand up, but I can still see.

I'm not justifying fatness, I'm saying that anything in extreme is dangerous (alternate hands when you spank, people - symmetry hides the loneliness)

The key here is understanding. It's taken me years to understand that my weight is not who I am. The person inside is who I am. Once we get past the fact that weight is just extra clothing on our body, we can focus on the things that matter.

The human body can handle a lot of things. Both starvation and indulgence. Sumo wrestlers are chosen for their ability to carry weight and they exercise strenuously. The strong man competitions each year are some of the biggest beer bellies I've ever seen. Look at the poor female bodybuilders. In the quest to reduce fat, they eliminate their breasts and have to buy new ones.

As for pride, she should have as much pride as the grad who can't spell gud: none. Pride is a satisfaction in one's current state. If you take the next moment to relish the last moment, you waste this moment (unless you're a storyteller - then you're cool). There is no resting on laurels for anyone. She's got a website, she should look into movies. Hell, she should work on an inflatable doll. Finally, a doll I won't bust!

In the end, the only thing matters is laughter. Not only does it burn calories, it calms the mind and frees the spirit. Unless you're an @sshat. Then it just darkens your charred soul.

Honestly, I'm gonna say it - I personally wouldn't mind being thinner, for health reasons - but guess what? That's /my/ deal, not any of yours. If someone wants to maintain a BBW lifestyle, that's /their/ choice and doesn't concern you in the very least bit. But the reason I have trouble getting to that point I would love to be at isn't because I don't know /how/ to lose weight or don't know what foods to eat - my mental blockage is that I don't want to be skinny and lose weight is cause I really, really, don't want to be like the rest of you. So hateful towards those who are fat, so judgmental of something you've never gone through, so eager to point out our faults and then quip something snide and ignore your own faults - I see so many people like you every day with your vapid stares and inside the "bubble" of beauty (oh 30 Rock, what HAVEN'T I learned from you? ;D). I would rather die from diabetes and be stuck in a bed because I've lost my legs than to ever, ever, turn into something like most of YOU.
