Mar 24 2009Cool, I Want Some: Darth Vader Money

This is the way money looked a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Or, I dunno, as imagined by DeviantArt user Diablo2003. As you can see, Vader opted for a helmet-on shot, which I think we can all agree, was the smart decision. Nobody wants to see your crusty-ass rutabaga head on their space bucks!

TINA TURNER
Well the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You dont look at their faces
And you dont ask their names
You dont think of them as human
You dont think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall
Chorus
I'm YOUR PRIVATE DANCER
A DANCER FOR MONEY
ILL DO WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO
I'm YOUR PRIVATE DANCER
A DANCER FOR MONEY
ANY OLD MUSIC WILL DO
I wanna make a million dollars
I wanna live out by the sea
Have a husband and some children
Yeah I guess I want a family
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You dont look at their faces
And you dont ask their names
Repeat chorus twice
Deutschmarks or dollars
American express will nicely thank you
Let me loosen up your collar
Tell me do you wanna see me do the shimmy again
Repeat chorus

why would you want this??? really? to hang on the wall? so you spend 10-20 bucks on this to put on your wall, why would you purposelly do something that makes it harder to bring a woman in your house? when i say your house i mean the house that your grandmother owns and you live rent free in because you cant afford to have a social life after spending all your money on online porn and anime.

FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max had to steal a bunch of different cars in 1 night. He got caught on the last one and ran from the police. He finally put the car through a car wash, and fortunately was able to find another similar car in the wash that he stole. This is a model thats been used by several videogames since.

So why would the galactic empire put a picture of an UNFINISHED Death Star on their currency?
Oh, because last time we built one it was an utter FAIL. Nice idea.... well kinda.

@18
You're a moron. That's not an unfinished Death Star. Did you even watch the god damn movies?
20. Pew³ - March 24, 2009 6:15 PM
@19. The second Death Star, although it was fully operational, was unfinished. It was still under construction.
21. qbertandernie - March 24, 2009 6:22 PM
my issues with this seem justified...
1. why would darth and crew call themselves The 'First' Galactic Empire? i think they would have the confidence that theyd be the empire forever...
2. why put a picture of the death star partially completed? why not put the conceptualized complete death star?
22. the black penny - March 24, 2009 6:45 PM
1rst...no one claimed.

The whole concept of printed money is wrong anyway. In the conversation between Watto and Qui-Gon, they talk about using credits. Why would they go to paper money after-the-fact?
I guess it's debatable, but here's a wiki about it: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Galactic_Credit_Standard
24. Freddy K - March 24, 2009 9:06 PM
#21 exactly
Pew - thank you, apparently Ollie didn't get the point, or is not a real fan of the series
25. universal TARP fund - March 24, 2009 11:31 PM
Credits? No way. You can't stuff "credits" into strippers thongs.
26. Pew³ - March 25, 2009 12:52 AM
@23 In your link under the column "FORM" It states that there is a paper currency.
My personal feeling is that the Emperor would want himself on the one credit bill much like we have Washington because it's the highest circulated bill. And likely a completed Death Star on the back.
While Vader could be on a five or ten depending on where Grand Moff Tarkin resides. Vader should have his "Executor" Star Destroyer on the back.
Just my humble Star Wars opinion.
27. formerly SPELLINGNAZI© - March 25, 2009 1:37 AM
Yeah, I saw that a little late...also saw that it says "Galactic Credit Standard" on the back of the note.
The wiki actually says "bills", which as far as we're all concerned, means "paper", but then shows that chip thing, so I really don't know what's going on...
28. Pat - March 25, 2009 8:37 AM
Wonder what would happen if I tried to spend this at Wal*Mart...?
29. Veteran Bob - March 26, 2009 2:26 AM
No No No...you guys are missing the whole point. If Obama were to print one trillion of these babies...we'd be sure to stimulate the economy and get out of the recession!
