Mar 23 2009Batman's Icon Mutations Over The Years
This is a video that shows, in chronological order, Batman's logo morphing over the years. It starts all the way back in 1941 with Batman with Robin, The Boy Wonder from Detective Comics. I thought it was pretty neat. So, what will the bat look like in another 70 years? If you guessed, "extinct", you're probably correct. And also, a pessimist. Look at your glass -- is your beer half empty? I drank it when you weren't looking!
Thanks to Julian and The Superficial Writer, who played naked Twister with Batman in the woods and neither payed attention to Poison Ivy. True story.

Of course not Shum, the fight against the firstarded is a lot like the war on terror. I just started a grand slam breakfast when this was posted, what else could I have said?

I 'paid' attention in school when they were teaching us how to use proper grammar.

I wish it would have focused more on the evolution the symbol in the comics and less on TV and cinema.

Very cool video. And good choice of song, too.

Enjoy the eggs, naas. They closed all the Denny's in the Cincinnati market. It sucks a hard arse.
8. naas - March 23, 2009 11:49 AM
Weaksauce Gordon... I didn't go to the still open Denny's restaurants in chicagoland, I just made a big plate of bacon & eggs.
The bacon turned out perfect :)

Let's see, I live in Alabama, it's not available in Alabama? I guess only unionists are allowed to watch this. Well, I'm happy I don't have to watch BadMan, he's really Bad as in boooooring. Give me some news about the next Zelda for Wii. Or give me some pictures of some naked lady who's dressed like Zelda in cosplay.

should have been done in a chronological timeline way...putting the future versions (batman beyond, etc) later on cause there is a sort of evolution there as well

I too have been a fan of the bat man ever since he walked into the batcave and saw the penguin doing Ward on the computer consol... didnt say a word, just slowly backed out of the room never to mention it to the young Ward again.

Geez, why make a whole video when stills work better?

that was truly enjoyable! I would love to see a collection of all the live action batman masks there have been, that would be funny. from bad to worse in most cases. i can't think of George Clooney without picturing rubber nipples. *horf*

I miss you, please come back with more never back down stories. It's just not the same without you.

GW, you're fcuking nuts if you think Batman will die out in 70 years. He's an American Icon, the closest thing we have to mythology.
25. jo - March 23, 2009 6:03 PM
that was okay... but i really wanted it to go through them all really quickly at the end, you know? see a fluent morph.
