@9. thanks Joline, I took your advise. I went on the site and immediately met a millionare. We immediately got married, things were great for the few seconds but I don't think it's going to work out. So I went to www.divorcemillionaresyoujustmetandmarriedinstantlyovertheinternetandgethalftheirmoney.com
That's the site everyone should check out after you go to Jolene's site. My lawyer is wiring funds into my bank account as we speak.

FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like the scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max befriends Dylan who saw aliens as a young man, and was entrusted with the secret.

Hate is more than he deserves. Hate means you care. Caring means you still watch what he puts out.
Don't watch it. stop caring.
You get what you deserve if you invite people to relieve their bowels in your mouth. You DESERVE to be the penniless f*ckwit with hot turd on your lips if you actually PAY them to take the dump.
Oh and FOOOOOCK the wordfilter/no cussing rule.

I'll put money out saying George will have the documentary shelved / stopped / destroyed because they're using his characters, titles, likeness and so on without his permission. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I'm really sick of these aspie man-children going on and on about how Lucas ruined Star Wars and Jar-Jar sucks. IV-VI were great because we were little kids when we saw them, and they became a marketing machine that kept us interested for far too long with books, and comics, and toys. They were silly fluff.
"What I didn't tell Lucas was that I just couldn't go on speaking those bloody awful, banal lines. I'd had enough of the mumbo jumbo." - Sir Alec Guinness on why he wanted Obi-Wan to die.

@14.. There was lots of stuff I liked as a kid that I don't give a hoot about anymore. Those movies were great for plenty of reasons.

GL was great at writing stories, but sucked ass when it came to write dialogue. He also had a penchant for the "disney" formula, of dumbing everything down to the level of a pre-schooler.
Alec Guinness said that he convinced GL to kill off Obi-Wan, saying his character would be more powerful as a ghostly spirit. What he didn't tell him was that he wanted out of the franchise because he was "sick of speaking those god-awful, banal lines he wrote." Straight from the horse's mouth, as it were....

@24
I'll bet you that they DO get laid (albeit by other insane Star Wars fans)...If anything they end up adapting sex to their Star Wars fantasy..
Really, this is no different than any other obsession (Eco-nuts, Brangelina, Star Trek fans, Cult of Obama, Animal Rights, etc, etc) They are all symptoms of repressed and/or misplaced religious energy.
As far as I'm concerned, The original Star Wars film (in '77) was good but every subsequent addition to the series has been progressively worse. Star Wars was good in spite of Lucas, not because of him. He's a mediocre director and miserably bad story-teller that really doesn't deserve half the attention that he has been given on this thread.

I dont get it...the guys a legend. If he messed up a little so what? Why identify him more as the person who messed up episodes 1-3 instead of the genius who created 4-6? These fans are getting a little to critical and dramatic. Very over-exagerated. Actualy, I dont even think the first 3 were bad at all. Of course your not going to feel that same magical feeling you felt the first time you saw the originals, but that doesnt mean the other ones suck.
26. formerly SPELLINGNAZI© - February 18, 2009 4:31 PM
Um no. They need to get laid.

@ Thump...er...$.02: The difference is, I admit I need to get laid. These guys need to get laid, but are in denial about it.
29. ithilien - February 20, 2009 12:41 PM
this is a non-story. if you don't like the movies, just don't watch them or stand on the street corner singing about them. i saw the first movie in the theater and i think i saw the second on tv, and havent seen any others. so i just don't get what this whole story is about. geaorge lucas did not change the world, but the BOOKS by tolkien did.
30. Sam Ailor - February 21, 2009 11:25 PM
Lucas may have failed, but at least he aimed high. That stands in stark contrast to the droning mediocrity of tolkien, a hack whose only aim was to vomit as many words as he could onto paper.
31. ithilien - February 23, 2009 8:04 PM
i don't know if the last few movies aimed especially high (think jar jar). some of the extended versions appear to have been released with added c.g. effects simply to get more sales. (i.e. make some more money) this is aiming high financially, but is it aiming high artistically? the cartoonish c.g. effects added little to the films, were entirely fluff.
i was not saying his efforts were wasted, i was just saying as someone removed from the fray it's just odd for me to see people get so het up over his films they throw words like "vomit" around in anger.
to get tolkien (beyond he surface level) a reader must be educated in history, mythology, anthropology, etc. this usually requires lots of self directed reading and a broadening of the mind's frame of reference. (reading as an active verb, watching as a passive one.) try it.
say what you want about tolkien, a least he knew TROLLS were real, but he might never have suspected they lived on the internet.
