Feb 11 2009Finally, Zelda II Has Been Translated To Latin

Somebody went and translated all of Zelda II into Latin for the three people out there that might actually play it that way. They also did the original Zelda and Final Fantasy VI. Whee. As many of you may know, Zelda II is a sore subject for me because it's the only game in the entire series I haven't beat. And believe me, I've tried. I fire that sucker up and play through it at least twice a year AND STILL CAN'T DEFEAT THE LAST PALACE. So, anybody want to come over and beat it for me while I watch? The game too. HIYO!
Hit the jump for some more screenshots of the translated games.

Zelda II, completely translated to Latin [romhacker]
Thanks to Ryan and c, who have allegedly beat Zelda II but are lying their faces off.

Don't feel too bad, GW. I hadn't beaten Zelda II until about 3 years ago.

Cheerios maximus! Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it Zelda II, which of course in German means "a whale's vagina". I'm sorry, I was trying to impress you. I don't know what it means. I'll be honest, I don't think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.
Agree to disagree.

im free if you want me to beat it for you

@4 It's funny because as I was reading the start of your speech about Zelda & the germans I was thinking about whale vagina. When you said it I didn't feel as alone in this world as I once did, very impressive thank you.

I share your woes of Zelda II. Infernal Game was created to thwart us.

@6
You are welcome sir.

Ha, I took Latin in high school. This might be the first time I need to use it beyond figuring out roots of words and instantly reading motion picture copyright dates.

Meh... *yawn*

I wonder when they'll get around to translating the Zelda's that were released for the Phillips CD-i. Those are arguably the greatest Zelda's of all time.

I have no issue communicating without the use of profanity. Quite frankly, the english language offers much more colorful adjectives. The point being made is simply that in this country, where this blog is hosted, we have freedom of speech. The same freedom of speech that would protect this blogger (GW) in court. I find it rather disingenuous of him to post NSFW content and genitalia jokes, then censor our comments about them.

17. STINK - February 11, 2009 2:42 PM
I'd be more impressed if they translated it into Pig Latin or that ZOOM 'ubbi gubbi' language.
18. Pat - February 11, 2009 2:52 PM
Great ... I guess?
19. Pat - February 11, 2009 2:55 PM

The last castle is a stone bitch, but my friend and I figured it out. The hard part is the final fight, which we only beat by cheesing out and using the turbo button on the NES Max controller that I had. Drop me a line if it's still bugging you.
30. Etan - February 11, 2009 6:38 PM
Try playing it on the DS with the NESds emulator. There's a rewind feature (Ala Prince of Persia) that makes the game beatable.
31. Daisy - February 11, 2009 6:54 PM
FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max was being shot at from a helicopter while he is climbing up a rock wall. In order to avoid getting shot, he jumped from a great height, but his fall was slowed by some trees and he survived.

36. Regvlvs - February 12, 2009 12:59 PM
@35 That would be ERROR SVM.
37. Remo - March 9, 2009 7:34 PM
How do you say "I am Error" in latin?
38. hdofu - December 1, 2009 4:42 PM
