Feb 11 2009Chinese Death Bus Kills You, Pilfers Organs

Wow. The bus seen here is one of forty in China used as a mobile execution chamber for criminals sentenced to death. And no, it doesn't run over you.
The buses provide a setup for lethal injections, and the acts are carried out on streaming video so local authorities can observe and ensure that everything is done legally.
Critics say that the buses help the government secretly harvest organs to sell to the west, as there's already a doctor on hand to administer the injection and they never show the bodies between execution and cremation.
The government is secretly harvesting criminal's organs for sale to the west? Wow, that is freaking wrong. China, get with the program, that shit ain't right.
China's Death Buses Deliver Executions, Organ Harvesting On the Go [gizmodo]
Psst. Over here. Looking for a liver.
Thanks to Hector, who doesn't ride the bus because he bought a car. Nice, Hector, wanna scoop me and go to the mall?

I would hate to be the guy giving the injection. You go to give the shot and the driver hits a pot hole (or a person). The needle jerks and accidently stabs you in the leg.... That would suck! But hey.. ORGANS FOR EVERYONE!!! wahoooo!!

"The government is secretly harvesting criminal's organs for sale to the west? Wow, that is freaking wrong."
Better than burning them, no?
I know some who could use a chinese heart, pronto.
The real scandal here is that they fry all the organs in Texas, intead of saving the best bits for sale. Could save the taxpayers some cash.

I have no issue communicating without the use of profanity. Quite frankly, the english language offers much more colorful adjectives. The point being made is simply that in this country, where this blog is hosted, we have freedom of speech. The same freedom of speech that would protect this blogger (GW) in court. I find it rather disingenuous of him to post NSFW content and genitalia jokes, then censor our comments about them.
Hrm... Perhaps this should patrol the USA / Mexico border...

Geekologie writer consider this, if you were in your death bed and you cannot get any other organ besides this way you wouldn't disagree with this method. Criminals who committed murder or deal drugs in China are subject to execution. Would you rather save a life from the executed bodies or just burn them? If it can save lives taking organs from the criminal who took another's life wouldn't you agree? What if it was a loved one you had? That puts you in a different perspective. I'm not saying this whole mobile execution bus is the right way on doing so but for a country with so much land something like this would be ideal.
When I went to China few years back there was a police precinct that delt with executions and a hospital right next door that took the bodies to take the organs right away. It seems horrific but things are very different in the rest of the world. There are many things in the US that the rest do not understand either, so before anyone freaks out think about those things before making judgments.

FAIL!! This post fails on so many levels. Who the hell cares!?
This is just like that time when Splinter told Raphael to go get him some sushi from the restaurant in Little Tokyo. Raph was on his way to the restaurant when he was attacked by Terminators from the future via a portal opened up by Big Bird while he was digging through Oscar's trash can while he was out. Oscar's can was a pathway to an alternate dimension where squirrels had enslaved all humans and made them dodge mechanical vehicles for all eternity while trying to get to the other side of an intergalactic planetary road. The Beastie Boys were spared because they got some action from the back section.

Here's a little light reading for the ignorant (i.e. "Watch") about Capitalism in China, from the view of a communistic author/site: http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0110-42.htm
China is no longer known as "Communist China" as it was during and prior to the Cold War.
35. Donnyb - February 11, 2009 10:37 PM
@25 china also censored the bush shoe incident due to the fact that they didn't want there people seeing a political figure show in that situation. In 2005 the London herald wrote an article talking about a Chinese cosmetic company using dead Chinese "prisoners" skin in their products. The London independent also wrote an article about 120000 women having forced abortions. All written after regan maybe you should do some reading (not maxim or stuff) good luck sheep. Also there was talk of why a bus Chinese officials say the regular spots for exucutions use too much land prisoners are also more willing to accept their fate.
36. DreamFolder - February 11, 2009 10:41 PM
"The Long Arm of Gil Hamilton" by Larry Niven is a light read, but deals on this topic. It starts with harvesting the organs of capital criminals. Then, as the demand for replacement organs picks up, the definition of who deserves to die to make organs available expands until parking tickets are punishable by death, all for the public good. Hyperbole to be sure, but the point is valid. Of course, it will only go so far, but the demand created by readily available organs also gives rise to black market organ harvesters (we have that now, actually, but there's room for it to get much worse). This is a slippery slope and serves as just one more alternative to the robot apocalypse.
37. Donnyb - February 11, 2009 10:57 PM
That is a good read after that George orwells 1984 is a good one another valid book.

@35: Any references for those articles? I'd be interesting in reading them. I'm always interested in learning new things. I try to keep an open mind on topics I know little about.
I also stopped reading "Maxim" years ago when they started featuring Metrosexual products as a focus, including $1000 wallets and shirts and other crap. That mag started out as an alternative to ones like GQ, and then turned into one. I read "Stuff" too, till they featured Tori "Marty Feldman" Spelling on the cover in a bikini...I puked.

I'm in China right now. I can say China is a beautiful country, except all the damn trash EVERYWHERE thrown by people. It's air is clean, except people littler and flies fly around everywhere. It stinks because of the rotten garbage. That's in the countryside.
Anyways, harvesting organs is OK. Why waste organs when they can be put to use, saving people's lives. Why not have a chinese organ, rather than die.
I'm a duck farmer in China.
44. formerly SPELLINGNAZI© - February 12, 2009 12:03 AM
It looks like everything mentioned above were illegal operations, conducted by individuals or groups out of the government's watch. Of course there's always a scandal in politics, that's nothing new...but to say that China oppresses their people as a whole isn't supported by this.
If you want to find tragedy, look at the U.S. health care system, where people die while corporations get rich.
45. donnyb - February 12, 2009 12:15 AM
Sboy I have to assume that your trying to stir things up because no one is going to say that using organs from a donor and killing someone then selling thee organs is the same thing. thats not true maybe your a fan of Himmler or closer to home a Kissinger.
46. donnyb - February 12, 2009 12:27 AM
i disagree in several of those articles its prison personnel that comment on the topics. Also how many political organizations do you know of that will say "yes we are doing all the bad things your talking about" its easier to say "small group of bad guys....... al quieda".
I agree your health care is horrible (Im Canadian its "free" thats why if you go to a clinic you will see 7 bloody noses 10 headaches and a few slivers ) and now with the new "bailout" health care will be worse.

So you automatically assume it's a conspiracy since the governement didn't admit any responsibility? If find it hard to believe that you can find a file somewhere under the financal departments books labeled "income from black-market organ sales." This is a few people taking advantage of the system they have access to, not the government.
As far as health care...that's a big problem that will take a lot of heat no matter which direction it goes.
Personally, I'd be more than happy to pay higher taxes that go to health care, knowing people aren't dying while Insurance company's line their pockets.

51. Donnyb - February 12, 2009 12:55 AM
Yes I assume it's the government did you read how many cases there were? You don't think that if yea after year an American prison was shooting 20 guys in the head each year that the government wouldn't have an idea that it's going on? I give them more credit than that. I agree about health care insurance companies are one of the most profitable companies in the world
52. formerly SPELLINGNAZI© - February 12, 2009 1:04 AM
Do you have any idea how big China is? You could have thousands of cases and it still could be coming from one or two departments, easily hidden from the government as long as the books were kept straight.
I guess I need to re-read that part...I don't think I caught the part where people who weren't already sentenced to die for capital crimes were being killed...
53. pro - February 12, 2009 4:10 AM
will somebody do something about the Chinese. they are taking over the world with their wrong ideals. they kill for petty crimes, they censor the net, they make fake products, they are buying up Africa, what next... am about to scream!
54. K4ot1K - February 12, 2009 5:22 AM
@ SPELLINGNAZI©
Corporations get rich because people buy their products. They are not stealing anything, or cheating anyone, or ripping off people. If people hated "evil Corporations" then don't buy their crap! Then the "evil corp" would cease to exist. Also these "bad companies" provide many people with employment, and a life. And now we see what happens when people go after these "evil corporations" Everyone loses their jobs, and their lives are turned to Sh1t. So stop with the ridiculously uneducated mass hysteria of blaming corporations. The country wouldn't be great without them. Why would people want to start one if they are going to be crucified? Keep it up and we won't have any. Then where are you going to work?
55. formerly SPELLINGNAZI© - February 12, 2009 6:37 AM
@54. Um, I'm talking about Medical Insurance companies who deny people life-saving treatments. Not Wal-Mart. I have no problem with businesses making money, I'm a Business Major, I hope to have lots of money myself in the near-future. I just have a problem when they do it at the cost of human lives, that's all.

57. $.02 and a pocket full of FAH-Q - February 12, 2009 9:08 AM
The healthcare system is a giant circle of rampant corruption. The Insurance Companies auto deny claims and hope the patients will go away, one way or the other. Doctor's offices and hospitals rate hike the insurnace companies and encourage fraud (all in the name of taking care of the patient) as long as the patient gets taken care of. This cycle is ridiculous. I'm not sure universal healthcare is an option that will work for us though.
As far as Canada's free healthcare, isn't there also a network of private hospitals for those who can afford it and don't want to wait 6 months for an appointment or would like to give birth in a room without 5 other birthing women in it?
I dislike the "iron fist" methodology the Chinese use to "handle" their people, but let's us remember folks, the Chinese people are okay with it. China evolves at a different pace than other countries. Mostly due to their long history of slow steady enduring change, partly due to the large population. I flinch at some of the laws/regulations there, but that's why I don't live in China...
58. lewis - February 12, 2009 9:54 AM
@57 you say the chinese people are okay with it... but ive lived in china (beijing) for a year and most chinese people there have no idea its going on. google was incredibly blocked whenever i tried to look up anything that was sensitive to the goverment. Look into the Falun Gong and what happened to them becuase they tried to protest. seriously its sickening. This stuff was insta blocked in china.

There is a definite conflict of interest when the government can execute and then sell the organs of people. It might be different if the criminal got to 'opt in', or if the proceeds were given 100% to charity.
I'm also concerned about non violent crimes like tax evasion and fraud being executable crimes.
The Chinese will end up zerging us in rickshaws.

@61 your computer can block Internet sites. You think it would be impossible for a programer to write some code blocking all political sites and anything that contains some key words. And then take that code to all the Internet service providers of the country and say you have to use this? It really wouldn't be I'm sure I know 1 person that could write that

66. Sam Spencer - July 23, 2009 8:05 AM
I saw a segment on the BBC news perhaps 2 years ago, where a lawyer disclosed that anyone convicted on a crime resulting in the death sentence will be found guilty no matter how good a lawyer they have or how well they can prove their innocence.
THE SPECIFIC REASON BEING SO THAT THIER ORGANS CAN BE HARVESTED, SOLD AND PROFITED FROM! (apparently china is the leading retailer and its a very profitable business) .
In the past the "convicts" would be lined up on their knees and shot in the head prior to having organs removed and sold, the killing buses where invented to make the harvesting of organs more efficient.
The lawyer who disclosed all this to the BBC crew (who already had a good idea of what was going on and the history) appears to have been bumped off.
There was a police raid during the interview where the BBC reporter and crew where told to leave if they didn't want to get arrested, the lawyer was dragged away and never seen or heard from again by his family.
I think the bulletin aired for one day, I've never heard it mentioned again, I can only speculate as to why that is, intimidation sounds likely to me.
Its a shame I think that it cost the life of a good man telling whats going on for very little result.
