Jan 13 2009Uh-Oh: SWAT Team Called On FPS Gamers

A couple of Danish gamers (Danishers), got the SWAT team called because they were playing a first person shooter too loud one night. Thankfully, they weren't rocking any Wiimote-gun mods.
As far as we can make out from this report, two young men from Valby near Copenhagen were giving it some stick on a large flatscreen telly with the volume cranked up, prompting residents in their apartment block to suspect someone had been shot.
Cue rapid SWAT intervention, with the area sealed off and heavily-armed officers using megaphones to order the pair to surrender. The two apparently came quietly, and suffered nothing more than a temporary cuffing while police ascertained that the only danger posed was to the neighbourhood's peace and quiet.
First of all, "giving it some stick" means something completely different in my neck of the woods. And secondly, I can relate to these guys because I've often had the cops called for "having loud sex late at night". They're called adult films you idiots!

Thanks to Richie-con-carnie, who once had the fire department called because he set a lover on fire. He's just that hot.

FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max and Baja fell through the ceiling of the hotel room and killed all the mobsters while hanging from a rope.

I get a bunch of screaming "tween" girls pounding on my door at night 'cause I'm watching my bootleg of "Twilight" too loud.
Jk, they're actually pounding on my basement door... from the inside...

Can someone tell me what the hell this Daisy character is with her stupid photo shop comment on every f***ing story? Is this some kind of weird ass spam, or an inside joke, or what?

Seriously? What game were they playing where it would sound like a single person got shot? All the games we play now sound like a freakin war.

This is exactly like that scene from the movie Tender Dracula where the two drunk french overdubbed make up artists/writers swapped places. One stuck a fish in his father christmas costume, and received a blowjob from Michael Myers' girlfriend.

Do not question the motivation of Daisy. It's just something we've all come used to.

Good thing they weren't Black and here in the U.S. because SWAT would have killed every dude in that place!...
Officer: YOU have the right to remain...
2nd Officer: Uh, sir, they're all dead.
Officer: Huh? Oh, whatever...

I don't know what kind of shooters I'm playing them because all of mine contain one sound clip. And that sound clip just happens to be: "PEW".

I bet they were thinking, "What the hell is a SWAT team doing at the front door?"
15. lol - January 13, 2009 2:44 PM
This actually happened to me back in high school. I was shooting a movie for my video editing class and had a quick scene on my front lawn where my friend, dressed as an 80's action hero, pretended to kick in my door.
Some douche neighbor called 911 and reported that they witnessed a murder. SWAT showed up and surrounded my house, made my whole family come out in a single file line with guns pointing at us from everywhere. Cuffed and frisked us in the middle of our coul de sac, then let us go without even checking the house.
Crazy shit

The pictures aren't always of the event themselves, since many news issues simply don't come with a picture. Instead the geekologie writer indulges us with his PEW PEW-ing a European town which he probably found on the magic source called google.

Daisy is the rope totin charlie bronson wannabe that's getting us f***in lost...

I like how the first response to "shots fired" is sending SWAT out.
If they were playing a shooter, the "gun noises" should have been pretty constant. If it sounded like f***ing Bosnia in my brownstone, I'd like to think I have sense enough to figure out I live near some jackasses with a kick-ass sound system rather than assume that a gang war had erupted.

Boon Dock Saints.
Is noone paying attention?

Dear Geekologie Writer,
That is a picture of Amsterdam.
As in Amsterdam, Holland.
As in Dutch, not Danish.
Shame upon you and your family.
Love,
Ri
