Jan 15 2009Somebody Please Make Me One: A Zelda 'Link To The Past' Cross Stitch Overworld Map

It doesn't even have to be 'A Link To The Past' themed. It could be any Zelda, I don't care. I love them all. It took stitcher Servotron four long months to complete this map of the overworld from the SNES classic. As you can see, it's awesome and belongs in a museum. Or shrine -- the Geekologie Writer's Shrine to Zelda And The Pretty Girl Who Lives Across The Street That I'm Always Too Afraid To Talk To But Whose Name Is Karen. It takes up the better half of my closet. So far it consists of: a Zelda poster, all the games, and some of Karen's trash, including, but not limited to, a utility bill (that's how I know her name).
Hit the jump for more cross stitchy goodness, including maps of Oracle of Ages, Link's Awakening, and Super Mario 3. Now get crafting!

Zelda "A Link to the Past" Cross Stitch Map [spritestitch]
Thanks to Arran and NES--still-the-best for giving me the idea to volunteer as arts-and-crafts director at the nearest old folks home.

I made a Mario/Peach cross stitch for my bf last year for Valentine's Day. it's pretty easy, especially with the old NES characters/images since they're all visible pixels anyways.

#6: BFD go be first so you can find fulfillment in all of that emptyness, the world is waiting for you
#7 I wish we'd dated sometime ago, because then I might have a cross stitch of your peach & something Mario. !@$*?#! You know where to find me if things don't work out Jillian

12. Boing - January 15, 2009 11:19 AM
@10, agreed! Ocarina was great, but they will never be able to top A Link to the Past.
I'll always have a soft spot for Link's Awakening for the old school gameboy too.

FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is reminiscent of a scene from the movie Tender Dracula where Dracula's resurrected man servant is writing his thesis on why all nintendo consoles and games stink and are designed to appeal only to colour blind toddlers.
He is later burned alive by the villagers.

So it sounds like you need a wingman, GW. Just say the word and I'll work my magic*
*(I'll stalk her and steal her underwear for you to sniff. That way it seems like I'm the stalker and you're the hero who beats me up when you catch me peering through her bathroom window.)*
19. Cameron - January 15, 2009 12:17 PM
SO cool. The Mario one is by far the best.

FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max was out of work and instead of looking for a new job he was playing Zelda on his NES.

TO #17...USE THE BOOK OF MADORA (FOUND BY USING THE DASH BOOTS IN THE LIBRARY) TO MOVE THE STONES TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE TEMPLE, WHEN DONE JUST JUMP OFF THE CLIFF........
TO CAESS IN THE DARK WORLD WHEN YOU GET DROPPED OFF THERE, SIMPLY LIFT THE BOULDER USING THE TITAN MITT... WHEN DONE, USE THE MIRROR AND CALL THE BIRD TO WHISK YOU AWAY
