Jan 25 2009Eye Candy: A 1,474 Megapixel Inauguration Photo With Sweet Zoom-In Capabilities
Oh man, you can actually zoom in on faces in the audience and see the snot dripping.
But what you're looking at is not a single image. The photo, which was shot using a Canon G10 and Gigapan Imager, is comprised of over 200 different shots that were then combined over the course of six hours using Gigapan software. The final product has a resolution of 1,474 megapixels and a TIF file size of almost 2 gigabytes
Pretty freaking awesome. So go HERE to explore the image for yourself. It's fun, I spent the better part of five minutes celebrity-hunting in the audience. Thought I spotted Oprah, but it was just some no-name with a turkey drumstick.

Thanks to Matt and Hanes, who were both invited to the inauguration but fell in the reflecting pool and had to go home and change clothes, missing it.

There's a man with half his head missing - he's on the same level as all the ex presidents/families are sitting. He's standing against the white wall of the steps towards where the photo is taken from and he's with about 3 other guys just standing around. There's a lamp post beside him too.

there's quite a few instances where there's pixel separations, where i believe that images were pasted together in chunks. People's faces floating around, not contected to their head (just look at all the people sitting just to the upper left of Obama. Also down to the lower left of Obama is a lamp post on the corner of the balcony, and if you see the men standing just to the lower left of THAT, 2 of them is actually the same man, one of which has the top of his head cut off...he must have moved after 2 sections of the picture were taken.

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadows are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max let his friends use his brothers car to go out drinking. They really messed it up, and came up with the plan to report it stolen.

This is just like in that country Never Think Right in which there was universal health care. But a commodity that costs something to produce but nothing to obtain is scarce, so when Tom got braincancer it took him 8 months to get surgery. The surgeon wasn't able to remove all the cancer, Tom was given another free brain surgery, just for good measure so that the system would look good. Needless to say, Tom died and proved that Never Think Right is a stupid country. Tom, sorry for exploiting your death in a political purpose.
