Jan 15 2009Another Day, Another Zelda Theme Song

Remember the Zelda theme played by the guy with the hats? Well this isn't him, it's some other Zelda fan (who, it goes without saying, isn't as big a fan, or asshole, as yours truly) playing the theme to Wind Waker on a guitar, accordion, some glasses, a baking pan, a little drum, two different kinds of skinflute, and maybe some other stuff. And in even more exciting news, this article, according to my latest tally, makes two Zelda-themed posts today! *alarm going off* Oh, you know what that sound means -- one of you lucky readers wins a prize! And today's prize is....getting to call 911 -- my apartment's on fire.

Thanks to Tony, a one-man band with more groupies than you can shake a drum stick at. Or a thigh.

FIRRRSSSSTTTTT!! McDouche

I want my two and a half minutes back.

Wow, that was way better than the fat queerish guy wearing the stupid hats, although this one didn't make me laugh like the other one did.

I recommend watching the 4-hat guy one and paying special attention to the top right corner at 3:22 and also at 4:22, both are pretty damn funny.

Listening that that makes me feel like I'm in the shire with a bunch of hobbits dressed like robin hood looking for a wizard driving a pony

Wow... That was stunning! Nice work.

do none these guys have any friends to play the other parts?

poop

@4. known - That's weird, because when I heard it I actually was thinking:

"You know, if I knew what 'known' looked like I would totally be able to imagine him in the Shire with a bunch of naked hobbits dressed like a prostitute doing a wizard on the back of a donkey"

poop

ok, fine, that was pretty good.

2:22 - tell me that is not blue steel.

1 GeekPoint for #11 for the Zoolander reference.

HE PLAYS A LOT OF INSTRUMENTS

That REALLY made me happy in my pants. Twice in one day! I need a cigar.

Very Impressive! If you listen to the music and don't watch the video it sounds professionally done.

#8 Hehe I didn't picture them naked though, just pantless which is a little stranger than naked cause it's like wtf?! I pictured them playing dwarf games and serving bacon cheeserolls. I can see them now, shooting little arrows at some burlap dartboard hanging from a treelimb in the breeze with the sounds of laughter from a puppershow taking place nearby. The wizardf***ing prostitute thing is all you though Cam, that wasn't in my movie until you mentioned it

...OH MY GOD! ... I f***ING LOVE ZELDA!!!!

FAKE!!!!

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.

This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max was unhappy with his fighting abilities and decided he'd be much tougher if he got elf ear surgery, and had Baja follow him around playing an ocarina wherever he went.

The result was that he got beat up more often, even with the shooting sword sound effect. Go figure.

Daisy killed my Zelda-loviness...

hehehehe

16. known - I guess my mind just isn't quite as warped as yours, but I'd say with a few more weeks reading geekologie, it probably will be. I mean really, who can stay sane with Daisy around?

I also have a suspicion that you yourself might indeed be the infamous Daisy. How say you?

where are all the tattoos?!!

im gonna say it like a man and make you understand AMANDA

Cameron I'm not Daisy nor do I post as him. I would say so if that were the case but it's not - Daisy is someone else and with that, someone with several imitators. GW can verify that one by matching our IP addys with our comments if you don't believe, you'll just have to take my word for it.

I do see the irony with twisted intellect Daisy offers on a daily basis though, and that's probably why I enjoy him so much. Especially those few times when one comment builds off the last one, it's entertaining. Also when someone else doesn't get it and bitches about it, cracks me up a little.

I shouldn't hold much against that though, because the 1st Daisy comment I ever saw was on this GW posting: http://www.geekologie.com/2008/11/worlds_largest_pinata_sadly_no.php and it took me a few days afterwards to figure it out.

I never bitched about it though, Daisy has always been fine with me :)

My name is Daniel, I live in Chicago IL USA and it's freeeezing outside right now. Anonymity is not my shield

@24.

ahah awesome.
small dongs

Known - interesting, that's really all I have to say. Also, I live near KC, MO, and it is also extremely cold here.

@23. known

"it took me a few days afterwards to figure it out. "

To figure it out? So there actually is something to figure out? I thought it was just mindless nonsense fabricated with a subliminal message that urges people to commit suicide. I can't tell you how many time's I've realized that I had the stapler pressed against my temple after reading a Daisy comment. It is quite disturbing.

If Daisy ever stops posting will we fear for her life? Will we send a search party?

Yeah Cameron, there's 2 things to figure out - each post refers to a movie most geekologie readers are familiar with as I'm sure you know by now. That's the 1st and obvious part. The 2nd part I can't completely break down, but it does have something to do with knowing that no matter how many people complain about or praise Daisy - he will never address anyone here. It's just written somewhere & Daisy adheres to it.

Imitators come and go, and a few stick around - ain't that right spam artist?

Daisy has been, and is to a point now where it's Wikipediable. Daisy is known on a few other forums and probably tattooed on your sisters lower back by now. Love it or hate it, there's more talk about Daisy in most of these comments than the topics themselves, and that is why Daisy lives on.

Don't let it get to you though Cam, just scroll past Daisy like I do spam artist =)

what time does GW get off works?

Orale el Wind Waker, bueno tiene talento el tipo

this one totally kills that ugly asian guys shit video.

also 90% of daisy's post isn't relative to the thread. this one is, since its about never back down being kinda like zelda.

@27 - The stapler is quite ineffective as a suicide tool.

FAKE!!!!

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.

This is clearly a duplicate of that scene from the movie Tender Dracula where Dracula trips on a burger king wopper box and accidently hangs himself on his keyboard wire.

His wife discovers his body and has to shovel a ton and a half of cigarette ends before she go close enough to untangle him.

Known - Daisy addressed the GW in that "real life photoshop" post... Maybe we just don't make the cut?

If you guys want to know cold, try upstate NY... It's actually making me consider investing in the boob warmers... Supposed to be -7 tomorrow...

This song was well done!

@35- FAKE!!!!

I am really a man, and think its funny when known hearts me. These posts are inconsistent because my workload varies, and I just blurt out whatever is on my mind at the time.

This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down when Some clever asshat made believe he was Daisy. Then he looked back at the photoshop story, and saw it was worked into the "daisy" format, so it was an indirect address at best.

@35. Thumperchica -

-7, eh? Here in Missouri it is so unpredictible, a few days ago it was about 40 degrees, this morning it was -5 with a -20 windchill. Earlier this month it was 75 degrees one day and 22 the next. Quite unstable.

@Known - Thanks for the explination, I had indeed picked up on the part about the familiar movies, I had also picked up on the fact that Daisy refuses to communicate with others, but I'm glad you explained that to me, now I don't have to wonder anymore, it was getting to me. lol.

You're not supposed to break the 4th wall Daisy. Now I can't hate you now that I can see there's a real person with a personality behind the bullshit.

daisy rules...

#35: true, I stand corrected. He did lash out at GW for whatever reason but since then it's only been the imitators typing back to us.

Yeah I wouldn't be outside much if I were upstate NY, I don't mind the cold but this frigid cold rrrgh f*** that

So amidst all of this Daisy-chat.... am i the only one that wants to take that one man band home with me and abuse his skills to make ringtones?.... i might also sexually molest him but thats beside the point.... just a thought

Wow. Wowie. Wow. I'd ask for his hand in marriage but I hate Zelda.

Have to say it but this one came first and was much more well done than the other one posted. So it's not another zelda, it's the first one. The others are just me toos, you know, the scourge of youtube. The people who badly copy the original.

#41: I think so - unless #42 wants to escort both of you to the beat of a different drum

Methinks my day is about to get worse... It's -18 w/windchill and there is ice building in the drain of my bathtub... soooo not good... oh well, back to work...

Those boob warmers aren't sounding so crazy now, are they Thumper?

ok...i'm ashamed to say i kind of liked this. but not as much as star wars retold by amanda. and by not as much i mean, that shit was awesome.

GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually... its kinda cool

Reminiscent of Mike Oldfield ( Tubular Bells)
you tube search Portsmith or William Tell Overture for Mike Oldfield
He shot the same split screen technique back in 1974. Oldfield plays all instruments. Me thinks this youngster is an Oldfield fan. Good job

I really liked Wind Waker the first time I played it. But it didn't have the same replay value as the legendary A Link To The Past or even Ocarina of Time, the reason for this is the position of the camera. A Link To The Past is seen from above, which means that basically you are looking at Links shoulders and if everything has to stay in proportion to the size of Links shoulders then things can be placed quite closely in the design of the game, in Ocarina of Time the camera is located slightly above link, but still close to ground level, while in Wind Waker the camera is located further up. The further up the camera is located the further away the objects of interest have to be in order for you to get the proper perspective of things. This means that in Wind Waker you spend a lot of time moving towards the objects you see and not so much time actually playing the game. The first time you play Wind Waker it will be very fun though as the Nintendo team have done an exelent job of making great art and scenes and great story for the game, and I still find myself replaying the game although A Link To The Past was funnier. My Super Nintendo is broken and I havn't bought a Wii yet because they arn't region free and I might move some time in the future, so I want to make sure I buy the right version of Wii. Btw, is Daisy on person or several?
