Jan 30 2009Shrine Erected For Iraqi Shoe Thrower

Remember the reporter that bared his sole to President Bush during a news conference? Well now Muntadhir al-Zaidi's famous footwear is immortalized at an orphanage in Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, in the form of a giant copper shoe.
Assisted by children at the home, sculptor Laith al-Amiri erected a brown replica of one of the shoes hurled at Bush and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki by journalist Muntadhir al-Zaidi during a press conference in Baghdad.
The shoe monument, made of fiberglass and coated with copper, consists of the shoe and a concrete base. The entire monument is 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) high. The shoe is 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) long and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) wide.
Well now I want a big metal shoe. *removes flip-flop and throws at laptop* Take that, interweb godz! Haha, I know it was a sandal, but you think you could make my statue a boot? I want to drink out of it!

7. GTO--Josh - January 30, 2009 1:08 PM
crazy thing is that our taxes pay for that type of stupid shit. sons of bitches building amusement parks in Iraq and they don't even have proper sewers or electricity yet.
f***ing giant copper shoe....
although I could think of thousands of asses I would live to shove that up.
8. JoeFromSJersey - January 30, 2009 1:09 PM
Well, I hope they have fun with that monument when our soldiers leave their country and their dodging extremist islam rape & beheading squads all day.
Have fun with that Iraqis...good riddance

Dear Iraq,
f*** you, you rag head pieces of shit, wipe your ass with your own hand, no running water, stank ass, sewer smelling, camel riding, no bathing, goat eating, head removing, shoe throwing, ink stained finger having, LAALALALALALALALALLA sound making, child molesting, allah's dick sucking, mother f***ing, un-evolved cro magnon looking, douchbags.
Sincerely,
America
P.S. How motherf***ing dare you defile a president who basically became the enemy of the world so you can watch soft core porn on cinemax with your new DIRECTV. f***off and suck 100 megatons in mecca you pieces of trash.
P.P.S. f*** Allah.
15. Pat - January 30, 2009 1:56 PM
I dunno if this is an epic fail or an epic win ... but it sure is hilarious.
16. Spacekatgal - January 30, 2009 2:08 PM
That is seriously awesome. Bush went in and F-ed their country prison style. I'm all about some Democratic free speech about how much he's rightfully deplored there.
17. Right Fury - January 30, 2009 2:11 PM
PPPS
What also really sucks is that even 1 american died so you could put up your stupid motherf***ing shoe. It's not even good. It barely even looks like a shoe you f***ing primates. I reminds me of when rednecks use old toilet bowls for flower pots you stupid shits.
I hope you burn in whatever hell (the one where you're the virgin)you believe in you ingrates.

Shoe bomb?
20. butterbee - January 30, 2009 2:33 PM
That's a lovely orphanage!
I foresee a problem, though... Iraqi children will be getting bigger now that Saddam's dead. Maybe if we only feed them broth without any bread, they'll still be able to fit a few orphans in there even when the rest of the population starts getting bigger.
Whipping them all soundly, and putting them to bed would probably also be a good idea.
21. Daisy (TRO) - January 30, 2009 2:39 PM
FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell it's a fake because the shadows are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max traveled to Jupiter to investigate sudden changes in the planet's distinctive spot. He found that an advanced intelligence was contacting mankind for its own good. Then he and Baja destroyed the aliens anyway and ate bacon flavored ice cream.
22. Jumpin_J - January 30, 2009 2:42 PM
Best. Monument. Ever.
To the rest of you retards who think otherwise, to quote OUR president (you know, the one who was elected, not selected): "I WON".
Suck. On. It. ... HARD.
23. Right Fury - January 30, 2009 2:50 PM
Look @ 22.
Sad. Sad that the sacrifice soldiers have made for iraqi "freedom" amounts to a crappy shoe. Sad that you, the leftie you are would look upon it and the only thing you think of is someone sucking something.
Were you born an america hater, or did Bush have so much influence on your life that you became that way?
See you in the unemployment office.
24. butterbee - January 30, 2009 2:51 PM
@14 - All that and you missed the whole enslavement of women? What's your problem, asshole? Even though liberals tried to argue that Iraq was a RELATIVE bastian of freedom for women... let's think about what "RELATIVE" means in the context of that quadrant of the globe.
I wouldn't even give most of Europe a pass on their gender based social inequalities. Might doesn't make right, but be grateful that might happens to be right in this case (if you're into human rights).
25. che-che - January 30, 2009 2:52 PM
@22
i probably wouldnt be boasting too much on your president. the guy cant even get a "stimulus" bill passed through a democrat majority government. oh he;s real good.
26. Right Fury - January 30, 2009 3:03 PM
@24
Sorry butterbee, in all my future anti iraq/muslim rants I'll be sure to include "enslavers of women" I also forgot Kurd massacre and walked like a dog, by a bulldyke MP, but I'll take it under advisement.
@25
That and he picks a treasury secretary that can't figure out how to use turbo tax. I mean come the f*** on.
27. Thumperchica - January 30, 2009 3:13 PM
Goes to show, allow people the freedom to express themselves... and they show the negative first... It happens her in the good ol' USofA all the time.
This is irritating. I would find it funny if someone erected a statue of Bush across the street with a plaque that reads "You're welcome for the freedom to insult me."
25-LOL... that's not really true though...
28. Daisy (the real one) - January 30, 2009 3:55 PM
FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max and Baja saw that a bunch of asshats were making fun of them on the internet. They downloaded the addresses of each one, and went to their houses and kicked their asses.

FAKE!!!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max and Baja saw that a bunch of asshats were making fun of them on the internet. They downloaded the addresses of each one, and went to their houses in a feeble attempt to kick their asses. Then they realized that Barack Obama hadn't banned all the guns yet when Max, dummy that he is, took a 5.56rd to the skull which splattered his barely used brains all over Baja's shirt. Baja tried to escape by running in a zig-zag pattern but her spine was shattered by another well placed 5.56rd.
The movie was over after that. No one rented it, ever. Only 1 guy bought it on pay per view but he's a loser.

31. Jim Jones - January 30, 2009 5:34 PM
Go Iraq, give Bush that F-You he so richly deserves. If only we could have had reporters throwing shoes at him over here...

FAKE!!!!!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job.
You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong. This is exactly like that scene in the website Geekologie where Daisy kept making FAKE!!! photoshop comments that are repetitive in every post and makes dumb jokes that use pop culture movie references and the movie Never Back Down as the punch line for each one. Her counter part eventually defeated her evil scheme like KITT did with KARR in Knight Rider.
36. formerly SPELLINGNAZI© - January 30, 2009 7:04 PM
Yeah "Watch", that really helps, thanks.
37. Ionawatch - January 30, 2009 7:35 PM
Wow. I dont like stereotyping all Republicans as racist a-holes, but the "rag-head" comments makes it hard to do otherwise. Its funny that you idiots would blame the Iraqis for being INVADED. Hey douchebags, do you blame a woman for being raped too? Do you slap someone on the face for being murdered? "Damn you! How dare you become a victim!".
Sure, it gave them freedom from a dictator, but it also gave them (and is giving them) a lot of grief as well. Either way, they never asked for it.
The person you should blame for the war is the idiot (your darling GW) who decided to go to war, big duh, why should I even have to explain this shit. Its called LOGIC. Shit-for-brain assholes.
38. Thaddaeus - January 30, 2009 7:52 PM
I want to throw this one at him. From orbit. On Pay-Per-View.
39. Spacekatgal - January 30, 2009 9:42 PM
@ Right Fury
I'll never get you assholes and your giant boner for Bush. Can't you have two seconds of intellectual honesty and admit he's the worst president we've ever had?
I swear. I've been listening to Rush and Mark Levine since the election, just because it's SO ENTERTAINING to hear the delusional planet you people live on. You pretend to love the country, but you don't care enough to approach politics honestly.
40. Chickenfucker - January 30, 2009 11:12 PM
@39 - We think you are the one who isn't apporaching politics truthfully.
41. Xi - January 31, 2009 1:34 AM
Too bad we can't give Saddam Hussein back to these people. Friggin' morons.
42. Ed - January 31, 2009 2:28 AM
Lmao, wow a statue dedicated to a guy who completely missed his target.
/fail.
43. K4ot1K - January 31, 2009 7:13 AM
Whether you agree with the war, Bush, or any of this. Take a moment to think about what would have happened if they built this "monument" before we went in to Iraq? The freedom to protest IS the freedom we fight for. Without the right to tell our leaders how F***ing stupid they are sometimes, we are nothing but slaves. The shear fact that these ingrates were able to build this to celebrate someone protesting a world leader, and embarrassing their own government, and they are still alive and free, is in itself proof of our accomplishment. So in protesting Bush they effectively proved his point.
44. E of R - January 31, 2009 7:47 AM
So, the police had them take it down now..... PBO's people keep proving they can't do taxes..... Wooohooooo!!! We're off to a great start! The change I can count is in my pocket.... my tax return .... Oh & people from Chicago to prove themselves not worthy..... Typical government.... VOTE GREEN!! NADER 12'!!!!
45. Ramen - January 31, 2009 11:14 AM
Everyone is so pissed about it... I think it's kinda funny, but I tend to stay neutral when it comes to politics and the middle east.
46. chicken - February 1, 2009 5:47 AM
HAHAHA good on him!
i dont get why he got fifteen years jail, i mean, if he threw it at a 'normal' person, he wouldnt have gotten that!
ugh and anyway, bush deserves to be hit in the head with a shoe!!
47. Right Fury - February 2, 2009 11:44 AM
@spacekatgal
FcukYou too. My point, which you missed you complete moron, is without bush and our dead soldiers, these RAG-HEADS would still have hussein. saddam, uday, or qusay(sp? whatever)
They should be kissing bush's hairy beanbag. BTW, if by building schools, updating power grids, constructing water treatment plants means "fccuking over" their country, then whatever.
How is Rag-head racist btw? They wear motherfcking rags on their heads, do they not? How is the truth racist?
48. Brody - February 2, 2009 3:22 PM
i wonder how the iraqi people would feel if hussein was still around? Somehow I think the circumstances would be different. They (for one) wouldn't have a voice at all. Biting the hand that has freed them from their oppressor is short-sighted? Sure, there are atrocities happening in iraq. That, we shouldn't forget.
But the average iraqi isn't causing all of the turmoil. It's the fockers that cling to the old way of doing theings.
Let's remember the shoes that they took to the hussein statue not so long ago.
Seems to be that the iraqi people are a forgetful - and fickle bunch.
