I don't see why people are getting so upset about this? It's not like they are hurting the animal and they have dye made for animals. My ex used to do this to his black and white cat. It comes off with water and it doesn't hurt them.

in the case of the dye being made for pets so that makes it safe--just because someone makes and sells it, does not automatically make it okay to use on your pet. the same goes for human products, food, and even clothing.

she may not be abusing her dog by putting her in these cheesy costumes to win contests for who knows what kind of self gratification, but the poor dog is still humiliated, and it's still creepy. dogs are pets, they are family members. there's gotta be a line drawn somewhere.

That dog would be receiving hours upon hours of love, care and personal attention. She must be in doggy heaven! I always feel guilty about not spending as much time with my dogs as I should - this puts me to shame! And what amazing talent and dedication. If only all dogs could be so treasured.

Oh come on. Most dogs LOVE being groomed and food dye is barely bad for the dogs. Why dont you pathetic militants go after someone who actually abuses their dogs, starves them, beats them and leaves them chained without shelter - not a woman who takes immense pride in her dog, obviously loves it dearly and is doing nothing wrong at all except giving it a hair cut and a colour. Some people need to get a grip on reality, really.

I met her and her dog LOVES the attention she gets from being groomed and colored in such a strange way. Her dog prances around and thinks she is queen so don't feel too bad for her crazy haircuts. They do it for competitions and I have seen worse haircuts from people who are too cheap to take their dogs to a groomer and try the 'do it yourself' method.

The groomer is very talented and deserves some credit for what she can do. The dyes are non toxic and she gives more attention and love to her dog than most people do to their pets. She is a very nice person, with a loving dog, and they both deserve some respect for their skill and exhibition.
