This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadows are all wrong.

This looks a lot like the scene in the movie Never Back down where they were on a space mining vessel that was investigating a distress call, and an alien attached itself to Max's face. Later when he was eating dinner the creature burst out of his chest and scurried away, killing Max and scaring the shit out of Baja and the rest of the crew.

These are named Magnapinna, also known as Bigfin Squids. You can google them or wikipedia them as well. I'm an engineer that works in the oil industry and received this video quite some time ago, we we're pretty freaked out, but my dad slapped me in the head (he's an oceanographer) and set me straight. They kind of look like the aliens inside the body armor from Indipendance Day.

that squid is real, they're also known as marionette squids (because the elbows look like a puppet's control panel)

"Magnapinna" does not have anything to do with magnets or penises. Maybe I missed the joke... but it really means "big fin"- magna: big, pinna: fin (the word is literally "feather", but the outer ear, and also the fins of creatures such as squid, are referred to as the "pinna").
