Nov 13 2008Light Up And Wall Out: Fiber Optic Wallpaper

We've seen light-emitting wallpaper in the past, but that was just conceptual. This fiber optic wallpaper is actually available. Like today, if you have $231 to blow on a roll. There are several color options, but it looks like you're limited to flowers as far as the design goes. Not that anybody even uses wallpaper anymore. Except me. Now call me old fashioned but, WHAT THE....my typewriter screen just went out.
Hit the jump for another picture with blue/white light.

It is a bit spendy, but if it lasts a few years it would totally be worth it. Not an entire wall, but as an accent it would be awesome.

Trippy, and with #5, no, not an LSD trip, but perhaps maybe a handfull of mushrooms.

Can they make that into a fabric? I would like a pair of pants with arrows pointing to my crotch and a scrolling message saying apply vagina liberally to this area.

Assuming I can turn it off or its fairly faint, I'd totally buy that.

I prefer the blue myself. Calm down time is always good. Blue is a good sexy time color too.
Then again..I would be so sad when it died =(

FAKE!!!!
This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadows are all wrong.
This looks like the scene where Max nd Baja did acid in the movie Never Back Down.

This wallpaper reminds me of that time I was abducted by aliens and they used me as intergalactic slave labor to assemble fiber-optic curtains and pillow covers. Damn, my fingers got cramped! When my fingers were finally too calloused to work anymore, they dumped me naked in a field of alphalfa. Or maybe that whole scenario was my high school after-prom party... whatever.

I think the price is well worth it; it's not as if you'll be covering an entire wall, just a strategically placed spot - it's the same as spending $200 on some art reprint.

OMG!
Tacky has been brought into the 21st century!
