Nov 24 2008Bullets And Paper Cuts: Hellboy's Samaritan

This is a papercraft model of Hellboy's revolver, the Samaritan. It's pretty freaking wicked and features a working hinge, loadable bullets, and complicated instructions. Hit the jump to see another pictures of the intricacy. But if there's one thing I've learned during my brief tenure on this planet we call f***ed, it's this: don't ever bring a paper gun to a knife fight -- you're gonna get stabbed.

Samaritan gun papercraft [waynifty]
Thanks to Matthew, who once papercut an enemy to death. Brutal!

FAKE!!!!
This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wrong.
This is like the scene from the movie Never Back Down where Baja shoots Max with a cardboard paper cannon behind a 7-11 because Max wouldn't go back onto wheel of fortune after humiliating himself for tripping out from the previous time when he ate cocaine laced star wars puppets & then popped some ecstacy, got naked & ran out of the room in a cardboard box.

This is awesome, but there's really no way I can relate this to my abduction experience.

I think the working hinge here is an amazing touch. If he could make a working cylinder, I would be beyond impressed.
Unless it all got wet.

This is like the time when I was in the movie Never Back Down where I (Baja) had to make love with Max in his car. Then I felt up his junk, it turned out his junk was made of folded paper and glue. Totally not cool! Then the director busted in and stopped Max from crying and made us both move on with the script. Totally awkward.
Me never forgets...

@3 How many time can you make that same joke before you get tired of it? It's about as funny as having testicular torsion.

I have to admit, if you add all of Daisy's scenes from Never Back Down together, it would indeed make one hell of a movie.

Hellboy is awesome, and this is awesome.

This looks like the paper gun from the Movie Never Back Down that Max made as an art project. He needed money that day, and tried to use it to hold up a Del Taco. Unfortunately when he pulled it out of his waistband, it got caught on his junk, and Baja had to drive him to the hospital where he was diagnosed woth a severe case of testicular torsion.

OOOH! How's 'bout we make it with flash paper and dazzle our foes with magical firey poofiness!

@3 & 11 Daisy, there's a predictable reaction that links anything done in Photoshop to "fake" when there is usually no such association. While the vast majority of fakes are done in Photoshop that doesn't say anything as to the legitimacy of an image one way or the other.
Ha ha, you're gonna get stabbed.

I only read these for the weird associations the GW makes with the subject... ie " amazing, bang bang, bullets, complicated, don't eat the glue, eye candy, glue, great job, gun, hard, hell, holy smokes, impressive, movies, paper, paper cut, papercraft, patience is a key virtue - having sex with prostitutes is debatable, scissors, skills, sweet, weapons"... like, ... wtf :P
En Daisy... asseblief! jy werk op my titti spiere

I used this papercraft model and dimensions to machine "The Samaritan" out of an aluminum block! I made this for my Hellboy Halloween costume. I have about 70 hours of machining on this beast so far! Check out the build pics on Picasa. I plan to have it finished for Comi-Con 2009. I will sell it, the holster, and the Bluetooth communicator to the highest bidder about a month before the event.

>.< gaah...if only the guy who made it wanted others to make their own...he'd show instructions....
also to those trying on the gun trigger case ignore the glue tabs on the inside of the trigger hole and "add" glue tabs on the strip you glue on the inside of the trigger hole thingy | | {J_}------------'
