Nov 5 2008An A Capella Tribute To John Williams

This is Youtube user ApprenticeA's a capella tribute to composer John Williams (who scored such perennial favorites as E.T., Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and pretty much every other movie in the past 50 years that's had good music). At first I had trouble figuring out what I was watching, but after about a minute, I realized I had absolutely no freaking clue.

Thanks to Jeff, who can hum better than anyone I know.

Lipsync. Basically he's just lipsyncing 4 times to the different singers.

im kind of in love 0.o

The use of Star Wars for the lyrics, touched my heart.
And he is attractive too major plus

Uh... well the guy has a very good range on his vocal scales...

But this was too nerdy for me... Gay Factor +7

Yes, this is a lipsych. It says this on the Youtube site "A BIG thank you and all musical credit goes to the a capella comedy group 'Moosebutter', who greatly assisted me in the making of this video. Check out their website here: http://www.moosebutter.com/ "

this sucks .... mainly because i am unable to view it at work...fail...

I love you Gizmoduck, always straight to the point, no extra BS!

So, anybody notice anything wierd about the Shadows? I swear I've seen these clips somewhere before. Makes me wonder if this is real or not.

Pew pew pew

THIRTEENTH'D

Just so there's no confusion, this relates directly to this recent post:

FAKE!!!!

This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell its fake because the shadows are all wrong.

It does look a lot like a scene from the movie Never Back Down.

This makes me feel all jiggly inside. But that may be due to the annoying protesting over the passing of Proposition 8 in California right outside my dorm room. Oh well!

Daisy, not that I'm a part of it, but your public fan base I'm sure was expecting a WAY better comment than that; no particular scene from Never Back Down?

f*** this asshole.... I f***ing would whoop his ass.

@12
this is madness

more dickbutts on the interbutts

how could i forget.

LET ME PUT MY ASS IN YOUR FACE

Im actually pretty sure this song was originally sung by an a capella group called Moosebutter
you can go here: http://www.moosebutter.com/orders/index.php and view their music. On the second list of songs down, in the chart of songs from the CD: see dee, you can listen to the Star Wars one.
This guys didn't actually sing this :)

@15 - at least she linked us to an old post where she went off on some guy. I think its that time of the month.

gay

This is clearly lipsync. You can tell by by watching closely at 01:27 in the clip. Plus, I think is was recorded by some other acapella group, moose knuckle or something.

FRISTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's pretty clear on the youtube page that he's just lip synching to moosebutter. My older brother is the bass

Daisy, you forgot to talk about the lipsync taken from the BGM of Never Back Down when they went to space.

Damnit Roberto.

Everyone ignored her but you.

You suck.

JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the best thing I have ever seen! And it probably made someone a bit too excited, and maybe did something in his pants..... but I'm not saying who....

wtf daisy!?

I specifically went to view comments to see your relation to this and Never back down and this one was pretty lame

Interesting, but still not as ghey as the fags that wait for new subjects to comment 1st on.

he didnt actually do it. its by an a capella group called moosebutter.

@30

FIRST!!!

So what, he didn't sing it? He went and got himself on geekologie didn't he, you all watched him. There's his 15 minutes of fame. And yeah, for the record I thought it was great.

Daisy, you've sadly dissapointed me with that one, surely

This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell its fake because the shadows are all wrong.

It does look a lot like a barbershop scene from the easter egg hidden in the extended cut DVD of the movie Never Back Down.

Would have been preferable.

zomfg such a ripoff

and zomfg hot guy

says straight on myspace
but hes as gay as figure skating

that was awesome

I don't think he is really singing it.This was originally sung by an a capella group called Moosebutter.

Basically he's just lip-synching 4 times to the different singers.

Wow. So... what? Nobody reads the previous comments before they go spouting off? I think there's at least half dozen repeating the *same exact info*. We got it the first time, folks..

PS, I think this is just lip synched from the group mooseknuckles or something.

This is actually the a capella group from Never Back Down. Baja provides the bass.

PEW PEW PEW'd

Isn't anybody reading the previous posts before they post themselves? There might be half a dozen repeating the same exact information on here. I don't know though, I haven't looked.

you know what I love about this? I like watching all four of him blink....

I have the exact same 'That's what she said.' shirt.
'Cept mine's waaaay hawtter, 'cause it's on me :D

...

Oh I have no life.

what ridiculous shirts. "Look at my shirt! its funny! therefore i am funny!"

Haha, that was great.

Yeah several people posted the fact that he's not the guy singing. On the other hand several people posted that what he did was great, which it is not. If that's purely a lip synching video then it's poor because he missed several points.

The reason why this vid made geekologie and became famous is because people thought it was him singing the song, even arranged it. Turned out he didn't sing, nor write the song. But by the time people realised, he was already famous.

He was helped by the ambiguous title he chose for the vid : "a cappella tribute to J.W.". An accurate title would have been "lip synching tribute to moosebutter".

Anyway everybody got fooled and the guy still happily enjoys his fame on youtube based on his lie. All is good in a perfect world.
