Oct 30 2008Thriller: One Guy, 64 Different Voices
This is a video of a guy singing Michael Jackson's iconic Thriller acapella using 64 clips of himself making all the different noises. I was impressed, and you could clearly tell it was a labor of love. Probably illegal love.
Thriller as a 64-Voice Acapella [collegehumor]
Thanks to Ravage, who played Thriller on the kazoo for a middle school talent show.

Wow, this guy's got way too much time on his hands. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty neat, but come on. You can't find something more useful to put your efforts towards? Whatever, it entertained me for a minute.

Awesome song. Well made. Still douchy.
17. Odogg - October 30, 2008 6:54 PM
Liked the beat part but could have done without the singing aaaack! I foresee others reenacting this method for other songs in the near future, perhaps rick roll?

Your mom goes to college.
19. sirrix - October 30, 2008 7:10 PM
Why can't non-French people do cool shit like this? Amazing that he can do 64 voices and none of them English. Va t'en, saloppe.
20. guate6 - October 30, 2008 7:11 PM
This truly is awesome. Very well done. My hat's off to this man.
21. MTWTF - October 30, 2008 7:15 PM
I only wish Daisy would come along and let us know if this is real or not. I can't tell if it has been photoshopped, and I'm not an expert on shadows. And I haven't seen Never Back Down. And I think Dodge sucks.
Pew pew pew
22. nat - October 30, 2008 7:19 PM
that was really cool 'cept he's a really bad singer haha. but good job nonetheless

24. MCSQUEEB - October 30, 2008 7:24 PM
THAT GUY IS SUPER TALENTED
25. White - October 30, 2008 7:25 PM
If this guy could sing it may be pretty descent, but as it is, it's just painful.
26. Moose Knuckle - October 30, 2008 7:25 PM
The voices do sound photoshopped, I think a thorough examination of the shadows would tell us if photoshop was used and whether any voices were sampled from the movie "Never Back Down".

27. Daisy - October 30, 2008 7:26 PM
Fake!!!
This is an obvious fake. You can tell, the shadows are all wrong.
This looks a little like outtakes from the movie Never Back Down.
PS: Dodge never backs down from a challenge.
28. Phillip J. Fry - October 30, 2008 7:44 PM
Geekologie should post something that is photoshopped from Never Back Down with all the shadows wrong. @Daisy, just because they don't back down from a challenge doesn't mean that they are any better. They just prove themselves as worthless pieces of crap that no one should spend money on.
29. Phillip J. Fry - October 30, 2008 7:45 PM
Damn it, I should have waited for the next post to reply back to Daisy
30. jonar - October 30, 2008 9:40 PM
omg he's a craptacular singer.
31. Billy Gates - October 30, 2008 9:42 PM

@ #9
If no one had "too much time on their hands" and everyone "got a life" (not what you quoted - i know - but it's said far too much) then i'd imagine the net would be a f***in boring place. There would be no star wars illustrated porn either :(
Whatamess that would be.
33. K lee - October 30, 2008 11:12 PM
But why?
34. jojo - October 30, 2008 11:14 PM
wow, i had the same thought as the others, this is probably going to suck, but he is REALLY GOOD!!!!!
i really enjoyed it, i left it all the way to the end and is a really good replacement for the original, i put it to listening to it like if it was a regular song,
35. gypsy - October 31, 2008 12:20 AM
WOW. just amazing what some people can do. not so great on the singing, but the creativity makes up for it.
oh, and about petra hayden's version is okay. A+ for singing so people can actually understand the lyrics, which is more than i can say even for michael jackson.
36. brian - October 31, 2008 2:25 AM
His accent serves him well on the Vincent Price part.... otherwise... not so much. This is really cool though.
37. Mort - October 31, 2008 5:40 AM
i was starting to panic that daisy would not posts a thing then but yay she did
38. Indie - October 31, 2008 8:35 AM
Oh come on! What? Your serious? Who told you to do that! Hahah! Aww man.......ahhhh, hmm. Take a flight of fancy, prancy. Slip. Course, house bread. Break the bread, thank you!
39. Gerard - October 31, 2008 9:25 AM
WOW!!!!... if anyone knows what it took to get this done (with loops an all), they'd be just an impressed as I am. Great job.... respect!!!
40. Thumperchica - October 31, 2008 10:02 AM
@DAISY - How sad is it that when I first saw those dodge commercials I thought of you? I spend way too much time here...
41. Dirk Diggler - October 31, 2008 10:34 AM
Like others have said, the accent tries to ruin it. Still almost as cool as my dick though.
42. bababooi - October 31, 2008 10:45 AM
WHY DOES IT SAY 64 VOICES???
I'M ONLY COUNTING 56..........
I CALL MYTH BUSTED ON THIS ONE.
43. Gizmoduck - October 31, 2008 10:55 AM
HAPPY HALLOWEEN INTERWEBS
44. LSDiesel - October 31, 2008 10:59 AM
@40. it's really okay. The regulars around here are practically family. Which reminds me, I'm sending you all a Christmas ham this year.
45. beefytee - October 31, 2008 11:27 AM
awesome work, should have had someone else sing the lead though, or strip the lead track off the original. I understand wanting the all in 1 voice cohesion though.
46. Katsuma - October 31, 2008 12:24 PM
Now I know what Vincent Price would have sounded like as a Nordic French Canadian. My life is complete.
47. jaime - October 31, 2008 12:51 PM
f***ing wow.
that song is too good. and that video makes it better!
48. Momboelitist - October 31, 2008 2:16 PM
I now have an idol to look up to.....just not this guy.
Daisy should take a trip over to ATS.com, they'd love her! One thing, you have to give her credit for acting out her obvious mental condition every day. A-D-D at it's best.
49. Davo - October 31, 2008 2:44 PM
Awesome!!
50. joflo - October 31, 2008 9:28 PM
i agree. i heard petra haden went there first and did it better.
51. Hayden G. - November 1, 2008 10:14 PM
ok that was creepy looking when he did the laugh at the end 0_o
cool jacket though
52. andy zebrowitz - November 2, 2008 2:07 PM
Nicely done, and I like the way he broke down each "voice" into constituent instruments (hi hat, synth 1, etc). Hope someone does something similar with other songs now.
53. Marius - November 3, 2008 6:07 PM
Wow that was amazing. He probably knows Thriller better than the king of pop himself right now.
I take my hat off! This is a piece of history!
54. Cat - November 3, 2008 8:55 PM
That was so awesome!!
55. mahalohalo - November 9, 2008 11:23 PM
little bit late to comment, but...
he did an awesome job for someone who can't sing for shit. or speak english, i think. not too sure on that one.
and he totally messed up the line "now is the time for you and i to cuddle close together"... :(
56. Diamary - March 30, 2009 6:36 AM
I think he should have picked another song maybe it woulda been cooler but as is , is just a great capacity of being able to do something nobody else has done . I think the effort he put into making this is worth a good comment by the viewer and not the fact if he could sing or not. Any tom dick or harry can't do this and if people dont have any nice things to say better not to say anything offensive at all. Jeolous people have a tendency to spew garbage out of their mouths when they dont have the capacity to analize peoples efforts and not if there bored and cant find better things to do.(in other words dumb people). Thriller guy , keep up the good work. I think it was awesome.
