Oct 29 2008Stick It To The Man: Watch New AC/DC Video In Stunning Microsoft Excel-Vision

acdc-excel.jpg

Your company got Youtube access blocked? Well fear not intrepid Geekologie reader, because now you can download AC/DC's latest music video "Rock N Roll Train" to watch in Microsoft Excel. Oh happy day! It's hands down in the piss poorest low definition I've ever seen, but I did make out somebody's head, and, quite possibly, a guitar. Download the file here, then, when your boss walks by, give him the horns and tell him where to shove it.* **

*Hint: the ass.

Thanks to Daniel, who sticks it to the man better than anyone else I know.

Fake!!!

This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell, the shadows are all wrong. Plus it used all those weird characters.

It looks like the scene in Never Back Down..

You know you should vote for Sarah Palin, because she is going to shake up Washington!!!

FAIL

I mean, wtf AC/DC? what the f***?
Super lame

play button doesnt work. i dunno if thats a good thing or not.

nevermind, i got it to work. unfortunately. its kiiinda cool if you blur your eyes a little. and take some acid.

The first time through nothing made much sense. Luckily it repeats, and the second time I could make most things out. Pretty neat.

I can only make ugly graphs with excel.

hmm.... i can see excel pr0n in the near future....

I think it's a little bit lousy... It's just ASCII-Art implanted in an Excel sheet. There isn't any "real" Excel involved. ASCII-Art is cool, but they should just call it what it is!

AC/DC's name will be recorded in history as the first band to launch their videos in .xls format and once again, breaking the tradition and oppression.

It's pretty cool... however it's not the full video... so fail.

@11, not the full video? You can't just be grateful for what you have? Kids these days....

I'm pretty sure I read "Islam is the Light" in there somewhere.

@12 I find myself saying the same thing...I'm getting old!

A. Anybody who says this is fail without qualifying it with something like 'impressive undertaking and well done considering the limitations of the medium' demonstrates an obvious lack of understanding of what's involved here.

2. I'm becoming more and more convinced that there are maybe a half dozen or so people who post here who even come close to being geeks, let alone have an iq over 50. (Daisy is one of them)

DON'T TALK SHIT ABOUT TOTAL!

@2 - Thanks for the help. I'm all set though.

WTF AC/DC ? Why using this tremendous piece of Microsoft shit? Open Office exists and does the job. F*ck, I'm not gonna watch this video, I appreciate the idea, but not the final work.
Maybe this is what happens when you sell the same shitty music for decades, stick drm on it, and sue every one who tries to find new ways of spreading culture.

Nice one #13, that made me laugh.

I wonder if anyone took up my challenge to try and kill every douche that appeared in that talking doll news report.

Does this work in Google Docs?

wow, I enjoyed that. especially the part where the giant troll starts devouring whole montains, and then, like a volcano, spewed up soda ash all over the villiage of pompeii.
I never knew acdc made such kewl videos.

My god daisy whats wrong you actualy did a post that did not involve saying fake!

OMG the world will not explode
