Oct 28 2008Man Restores Hover BMW From BTTF

hover-bmw.jpg

Jeff Chabotte is a Back to the Future fanboy and somehow managed to get his hands on Griff Tannen's BMW 633 HoverCar from the second movie. Unfortunately, even after a complete restoration it still doesn't hover an...Jeff -- what in the f*** kind of pose is that?

Thanks to ray, who, had he restored the vehicle, would be hovering his ass off right now.

totally rad and first

Fake!!!

This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell because the shadows are all wrong.

It looks like they cut the car out of BTTF and placed it into a scene from Never Back Down.

ass to mouth

Hey, I sent a contribution =( about Ecto-1, long ago

Say hi to your mom for me

Thanks to the movie, Jeff already know what he and his car are gonna look like in 20 years.

when is daisy going to die?

I always wondered what a tricked out early 90's BMW was doing in 2015.

"Unless you got POWWAH!"

Great Scott! It looks like this might turn into a BTTF quote war!

i told you to put two coats of wax on my car.

Who said roads? Where we're going we don't need roads.

Star Wars, BTTF, cosplay, Lambo's... yawn...

@#9: Try "tricked out early 80's" not "90's". C'mon, get yer classic German iron right!

there's that word again "heavy" why do i keep hearing that? Is there something wrong with the earths gravitational pull in the future?

What the hell is a gigawatt!?

Wait a minute, Doc, are you trying to tell me that my mother has got the hots for me?

wait a minute, doc, are you tryin to tell me that this sucker is nuclear?

#4: the writer posted the Ecto-1 car a long time ago

#16: one trillion watts is one gigawatt.

neat car...pose looks like something from the 80's.

"No no no, this sucker is electical. But I need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity I need...."

ive seen that same car at a car show awhile back. was either a replica or another car they used in the movie. i managed to grab a photo of it, so check out the link

Sorry, correction: giga- = billion

Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.

Oh wait... wrong movie...

Nobody calls me chicken!

"I'm your density...I mean destiny"?

The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?

Pose to the future?

I wonder if that thing is street legal.

so it's supposed to look like it can hover riiiight??
So the wheels, they don't move? they just look hover-y???
can't drive it around, ha- haaaa.....

Pretty sure that the name is Biff Tannen.

So what happens when you steer with those hubcaps connected to the body and wheel?

"The justice system works quickly now that they've abolished all lawyers."

@#29--no.

@everyone else--you're quoting the first movie.

Hi all.
I'm Jeff, and yes, that's the original car.

Julie, I live in Norwich, and that is indeed the same original car. i did the Eastern CT show that year along with the Dukes of Hazzard cars.
