Oct 16 2008Magnet Case Keeps Your iPod Stuck To You, And Also, This Is How You Sell Products

ipod-magnets.jpg

The iStik is a $27 iPod case that has neodymium magnets on its two parts so you can stick it to your bikini or running shorts (one magnetic piece goes on the inside, case goes on the outside). Pretty clever. And also, based purely on the above imagery, I just bought a dozen --and I don't even own an iPod! Now that's how you sell products. Advertisers take note: when in doubt, T&A. A letter, a symbol, and another letter to live by.

Thanks to Zach, who fastens his iPod to himself the old fashioned way, with freaking nails.

Sex still sells. Seriously.

BOOSH!

LSDiesel....slow day at work eh?

errr, that might be a stupid question, but aren't magnets BAD for iPods and all electronic gadgetry in general ?

Thos shadows look awfully suspicious

*those*

Navi, its always a slow day at work.
@4, I'm pretty sure that four magnets of those size aren't even close to being strong enough to wipe an ipod memory.

if only she pooped out lasers

The flash based models would be fine, but the hard drive based would not be good with that.

But I like the way they display it.

impractical to jog and try to look at the screen, it would pop right off.... hot chicks non the less... very nice, how much?!

@8- I was just thinking the same thing

I was thinking rainbows but lasers are PEWRIFIC!

I have to agree with #5 here.

The shadows are all wrong, and this looks like a fake.

Probably a photoshop job, the chick looks like Baja from Never Back Down.

That product is BEGGING for a nice healthy dose of surprise butt secks.

the girl comes with the case

LSD, are they hiring there? I need a slow office to PEWPEWPEW from.

@16, No, we're actually on a hiring freeze because the economy is sucking balls at the moment. We even cut off two business hours, so we open an hour later and close an hour earlier.

And nothing gets done because I sit here and talk to you guys all day. Ahhh, love it.

lol I just realized, that I haven't done a damn thing (work related) all day, and its 3:00. I <3 Geekologie

1 more hour till I poop out lasers.
I love my job

Now that I would pay to see

Sweet. I usually just stick mine in my pocket. But I guess this is good too. If I didn't have a pocket and wanted some weird thing in my pants that *hopefully* wouldn't just slide out when I took the iPod off, then just maybe.

green lasers.

I would pay even more for green lasers!

hmmm... high powered magnets and harddrives..

something doesnt add up here

giggity

I'd hit it.

yeah, this chick is in my "i would pee in her butt" category............ damn, all you other mofoes sit around a desk behind a damn computer all day???? they should call this shit SLACKOLOGY! I know my ass just vegetates all day behind the Computer getting absolutelly NOTHING DONE AT ALL! zero! nada! jack f***ing shit! and it's the best f***ing job ever!........... onto another subject which do you guys like better? to get bayed by the hour or salary? I don't know about you f***ers but I love my salary! I can bail out whenever the hell i want to and not worry about punching no f***ing clock, and i can get to work extremelly f***ing late, no one seems to give a f*** and it's not like they can fire me anyways....... just wondering

I'd buy a few if they used male models with the cases on their crotches... sexist bastards.

It does not take an exceptionally strong magnet to cause damage to the hard drive in an iPod. even if it did, these are neodymium magnets. they are very strong magnets (you don't judge the strength of a magnet by its size...). this is a stupid idea. it'd definitely cause damage loss...

it's the best f***ing job ever!...........

i dont see this working very well.

"Now you see it"... WOOOOSH "and now you don't!"... then your iPod became an "I NapPOD it"

Great article. Thanks for the information.

That's really nice, thanks

To all the people saying this will cause damage loss,
Yes, neodymium magnets can cause damage to hard drives, but the new iPod Nanos do not have hard drives, they use flash based storage, same with the iPhone and iPod Touch, so this is a perfectly safe product, although to say how good it actually works I cannot say.

Now if they made this for the older iPods, or the Classics, it would almost definitely cause damage, those models do use hard drives, but I do believe they are somewhat protected.

wouldnt the magnets delete the music on the ipods thats y u cant put magnets on a harddrive on a computer?

I WANT 2 BUY A GUD IPOD, HOW CAN I GET IT ON LINE?
