Oct 27 2008Dying Is Fun!: Rocket Car To Go 1,000 MPH
In 1997 Pilot Andy Green went 763mph in the Thrust SuperSonic Car, and now, 10 years later, is building a car that will potentially hit 1,000mph. And, hopefully for him, nothing else.
"Bloodhound isn't just about building a quick car," Andy told us. "Our main concern is education - we want this to be inspire kids to get into engineering. What better way to spark-up enthusiasm than building a 1000 mph car, then building the theory behind it into the National Curriculum?"
And consider this: 1000mph is literally faster than a speeding bullet. "If you shot at me with a hand gun, the bullet would just gently nudge into the back of the car," Green says.
Wow, faster than a speeding bullet -- move over Superman! Seriously, scoot the f*** over, you just touched my leg.

Thanks to Asbo and Raúl, who could both do 2,000 MPH if they wanted. But they don't, so they're not going to.

Technically, if that car is faster than a speeding bullet. The bullet would'nt nudge into the back of the car. It would never even catch up to it. I just caught this asshole's bluff. This is all obviously fake and the biggest photoshop scandal in years. Shadows are off, blur is wrong, never back down.

This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell its fake because the shadows are all wrong.
It looks a little like Max's car from the moie Never Back Down.

Wait 'til when his wife or ma tells the inventor to drive down to the grocercy store in the Bloodhound and pick up her things. He's gonna freakin' overshoot the store a couple of times before finally crashing faster than a bullet into the store, killing countless vegetables in the process and making vegetables out of many "organic food" shoppers.

I love it when they say "speeding" bullet.....guess its not as impressive if you say faster than a resting bullet.

It's nice and all, but I feel it needs more flame decals and a massive whale tail spoiler. Also some pimped rims. What's the point in going at 1000mph if you can't do it in style?
