Sep 30 2008Guy Makes Pong Watch From Scratch
Some guy went and made a Pong watch. This is it. I don't really know much more about it because the website is in French and I failed remedial French in highschool. Too much time staring at the tits on the chick next to me, not enough time conjugating verbs. Just sayin', I'm not at fault here. Now Spanish -- bunch of fuglies in that class, solid C-.

I personally commend the guy for building this watch.
As an old school gamer, its pretty awesome.. Needs some work on the case, and definitely a new watch band, but I for one would TOTALLY sport this, and work hard to be a high bidder if it ever went on ePay.
Cool thing, is the guy is building this "open source / GNU". Looks like he will be releasing the schematics and possibly the code for the watch on his website.
Any of you remember the short life of the Fossil watches? They had Centipede, Asteroids, and Breakout on watches, in a very similar type fashion. The game played in the background, while the watch sat there and did its job.
Pretty cool.
As for being "Not whats expected to come from Geekologie"? Mehbeh... But its pretty geeky if you ask me, so IMO its pretty on topic, and well worth the read to me.
Just wish the spammers werent hitting this as hard as they are. Thats the only reservation I have about it.
