Sep 12 2008My Turn, My Turn!: A Human Catapult
A couple weeks ago we saw the AirKick human catapult, and today we've got a video of the homemade variety. I don't really have much to say except they didn't make it powerful enough. You'd have to chuck a body at least twice that hard if you expect to damage a castle.

5. Trage - September 12, 2008 12:19 PM
holy shit! They're doing that into a river? Look at the guy being swept away. If someone landed wrong and got knocked out for more than a second, they'd never find them. Stupid rednecks.

I was so distracted by the horrible, horrible music that I couldn't watch much of the video.

Wasn't the human catapult in the Movie Never Back Down? It was copied from the Hunan Cat-ipult in the movie Karate Kid. In NBD, it was a way to show off Baja soaking wet in a white teeshirt, and in KK it was a means of collecting meat for a restaurant.

Why, oh why must all videos like this contain the worst pseudo-metal music?!?!

Trage, it's no big deal, I live around those parts and I know that river. It looks like there's a strong current about, but there's nothing dangerous. Besides, if you grew up near a lake or a river, you've been swimming in there since you've been little. You know the place.

Weak! It only launches the guy into the river. Aren't they trying to make it across? Hence the useless helmet.
What? Oh...They want to...in the wat...Nevermind.

Music is by the band Soulfly, and just because metal isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean it's shite. To me Phil Collins just wouldn't be appropriate for catapulting rednecks into a river.

@13 - nice call. Little rednck boobles at 1:10. How did I miss that? Am I turning gay?
