Sep 19 2008Get Your Drown On With The Home Swimmer

The $90 Home Swimmer is a tether that prevents you from going anywhere while you swim imaginary laps in your home pool. Alternatively, it makes a great dolphin leash. Mush you stupid Flipper, mush! Oh hell no you didn't just squeak at me.

Thanks to Silver Sided, who once swam to the depths of the Pacific to have sex with a mermaid, but she had given him a fake address!

At least #2 had the guts to attempt to be first! We should all give him a rousing atta boy! It's better to have tried and failed than to bla bla something something.
@2, you are my hero and I want to have your children.....Of course as a man I would have an issue there but I just want #2 to know how darn proud I am of him.
Never Back Down #2!
See what I did there?

Why is the daft prick donning sunglasses in the water?
This looks like exactly what happened to Goose.

11. Nikky Raney - September 19, 2008 11:26 AM
i could make one of those. is there a weight limit? I'm 100 pounds so I don't know how well elastic bands would work, i could always have my 500 pound neighbor test it out for me...oh wait... i don't have a pool.

Geekologist, I'll send you a copy of SkyMall and you can post stuff like this for months. Content be damned!

.....I really am at a loss for words on this one.
14. Gingersnapz - September 19, 2008 11:58 AM
I get it. It's sort of like training wheels for the pool.
However, the only problem is once you're through "training" you'll only be able to swim in place....
15. Nacon - September 19, 2008 12:15 PM
...90 bucks for that? What the hell?
I can get a dog lease for 3 bucks.
16. Foobar - September 19, 2008 12:36 PM
@15 - is that a lease with an option to buy? What are the terms?
Without more details we have no way of knowing whether its better to buy the product for $90 or lease a dog for $3.

Didn't Max use one of these to train in Never Back Down?

#9 you're an idiot...haven't you ever heard of swim goggles. They even have prescription ones you dope!
I suggest you buy the tether but instead of using it in a pool you tie it around your neck and hang yourself from the bathroom...swim trunks are optional.
21. Gingersnapz - September 19, 2008 2:33 PM
^ Swimtrunks are optional, but it would be more fun for those who found you if you had them around your ankles. Oh, and take lots of Viagra beforehand.
22. none - September 19, 2008 2:46 PM
as a former competitive swimmer, that's a waste of about $85...
for $5 you can get stretch cords that tie to a post and then your ankles and gives you the ability to sprint for the wall and slow down to be brought back.
this $90 thing is a joke, it's a rigid cord that would probably be alot more painfull....
23. Gingersnapz - September 19, 2008 2:50 PM
Yeah, if I'm paying 90 big ones for this, it better include the pool with which to use it.
