Aug 22 2008Swarm-Bots: Child Stealing Robots (Seriously)

Every wonder what it would look like if a bunch of little robots ganged up on a kid and dragged it across the floor? This.

The video is 3:00 long, so just let it load and then skip towards the end for the full effect.

Youtube

Thanks Michael, you wanna come over and help me install casters on the kids' PJs?

dam so close to first

Michael Jackson already has a network of these things working all over the south california area.

poor kid, had no idea what was going on, i mean come on whats the practical use of these little bots

Yeah seriously.. that kid has WTF painted all over her face.

That girl is going to have issues for life.

Lmao that's priceless.

swarmbots sneaking in during the night, abducting our children for reprograming, everything makes so much moar sense now.

This whole troubling scene reminds me of Runaway! Tom Selleck and Gene Simmons in the same movie....with Robots! F***ing Gold.

Also: Look at the size of the feet on that kid!!!

\m/ ^_^ \m/ buys robots...

Shit, thats awesome...

I gotta get one of these to drag me to bed when im passed out naked drunk lying on the floor...

Mommy will give you some ice cream if you just lay there and look freaked out as shit.....

Holy shit that was weird.

Runaway was awesome.

Classic 80's.

loved the seeking bullets that punched a fist size hole in its victims.

Pedorobots

Dear Russian...

If you DO pass out naked, guess where they will grab you and drag you to bed...

Seems like a lot of work with no real advance in robotics.

2:03: Everybody always have to wait for some clueless moron.

How often are kids actually going to wear clothing that damn baggy? Those robots would have also pinched her flesh, had she been wearing a normal, non 'drink the kool-aid' cult-esque outfit.

Anyway, those robots aren't even not pulling her. It's actually the walls that are sliding to create the illusion, like that Jamiroquai video did. FAKE ;)

I'm not too sure what the point of building a bunch of tiny robos to drag a kid with is. More than enough single BIG robots currently exist that could really whip that kid around.

hahaha the little girl was so bored with it, she yawned at 2:05.
i think that's the only entertainment value of this.

i'm not a fan of robots.
especially ones that work together.
f-that.

Wow, this is a bit creepy. Kids getting stolen has reached a new level :(

Poor girl looked confused, scared, & unsure as to what to say/do.

so, uh, if you ever lose your kid lying on the middle of a tile floor, completely still, for several minutes, with large baggy clothes on, and need her dragged a few feet to the left... man you need to get these babies

There's something oddly twisted and hilarious about this clip. Maybe it's the girl's expression like, "this is so weird". haha, maybe it's just cuz im stoned.

You don't really have to let the youtube-clip load, you can just drag it to the end and it will load from that point.

damn, now rapists can send out his minions to grab victims who are passed out anywhere.

@ 19 ..... you are an idiot and idiots should not speak. (now wink at that)

This is retarded..

first of all, the kid is wearing a bag with a f'ing bar built into the side of it so these robots can attach themselves.

second, wax floor? nice.

a completely unrealistic solution in a completely unrealistic setting, brilliant!

The whole robot joke is getting old.

The End Is NEAR!!!! AHHHH.... now stronger than ever.

Not only is there a bar or rod built into the clothing for the robots to grasp, but it is a 'smart' bar, which signals the 'bots, telling them where the child is, and where to grab hold. You can see the power cable attached to her.

Plus, the length of time it took was stupid.

Other (faster) innovative ways you could move a child 6 feet:

Fire hose, assistance dog, pack of assistance monkeys (yes they do exist!), lasso, fork-lift, fishing-rod (hook and reel in), sign-language gorilla koko, catapult, crane... etc.

yeah that child is concerned
