Aug 13 2008Is This The Car Of The Future? (Hint: No)

This is a BMW concept car designed by Transportation Design students Jai Ho Yoo and Lukas Vanek from the instituo Europeo di Design. They imagined the ZX-6 after being asked what the vehicles of 2015 would look like. Now call me crazy, but isn't 2015 just 7 years away? These guys are nuts. Besides, by 2015 we're not going to be driving cars anyways. Nope, the only thing we'll be driving is golf balls -- on Mars. ZOMG, Interplanetary Olympics!

Looks like if a shoehorn and a Stapler f***ed this would be the product.
7. SmokingGirl - August 13, 2008 2:29 PM
I agree with Freddy...it looks like a wireless mouse.
And as a car, it looks like shit.

No sir, I don't like it. BMW's cars are ugly enough as it is, this does not help things.

a transportation design student?
it looks like a cg student figured out how to use a 3d design program....besides the flux capacitor and mr. fusion port are missing

Is it just me or does BMW design cars that constantly surpass their previous models in terms of how much of an ass and a prick you look while driving their cars?
11. guate6 - August 13, 2008 3:16 PM
#8: disagreed; BMW's aren't ugly...their M series, Z series, racing series, all are nifty.
If this was done by a transportation student, they did a really good render. I wouldn't be surprised if they used the same software the car companies used, but really, the image is awesome. Now as for the shape of the vehicle...not bad, could use some work (it doesn't look very aerodynamic).

Concept cars always remind me of hand-held vacuum cleaners (and vice-versa).
See if you can which this is - vacuum or car of the future?

I agree with Freddy and Smoking Girl, it looks like a wireless mouse, or an electric razor. I might go for it if they smooth out those sharp corners.

Where's the flux capacitor?
Flux capacitors, making time travel possible since 2015!
Yeah... right.
And isn't there an Italian word for "design"?

It sure is odd looking.

Back to the Future taught me that cars will be flying by 2015, with cool wheels that turn all sideways. This thing will be way behind on the times. It doesn't even HAVE visible wheels. Sucks to be it.

This is not a bad looking car, I think I would get if I was a million doller play boy.

Maybe it's BOTH. Those sharp bits sticking out the side could have brushes under them and clean the kerb as you drive... Tell you what, I wouldn't like to be a pedestrian standing roadside waiting to cross when this flew past!

FAKE!!!!
This is a complete photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadws's are all wrong.
This is exactly like that scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max took Baja to the drive in restaurant, and the ribs they gave him were so big the car flipped over.

The is used to move to different places. Everytime we have the latest models in this new generation. But now also we have the BMW concept which is designed by transportation design students. The car has good attraction overall. This seems to be different from all the others. This is totally different from others but we are not able to see the wheels. Please can u give some more information on this.
