Jul 1 2008T3 Mobile Defender Rocks A Powerful Air Gun

Lamperd Less Lethal's T3 Mobile Defender wasn't inspired by T3:Rise of The Machines, but it does look like the bastard lovechild of a Segway and the Big Wheels I had growing up. But with one worthwhile difference -- a powerful air gun and holographic sight system. The aiming system was designed to ensure body shots only, as a headshot could, well, kill you. Lamperd plans to sell the goofy looking things to the Army at first, but law enforcement organizations will have them available soon after.
"An eyepiece shows a red target dot, and then transmits an image of the target to a monitor, which relays the information to the gun." According to creator Barry Lamperd, if the holographic sight is on target, you can't miss.
Can't miss, huh? That's a pretty bold statement. Because I've had my member resting on the urinal cake before and still missed. Just saying, the dude next to me got pissed.
Hit the jump for a couple more pictures, you know, if cops riding little standup trikes is your scene.

As if cops needed another way to look bad... What a dumb idea. Wouldn't it be better to give them a bicycle and a tazer?

I guess the silly traffic-cop cars (with three wheels) weren't enough, now they had to make something else that makes them laugh. Oh well, they'll never learn. They should just go around on horses, that would be badass and a high speed chase on a horse would rock.
Just more things that show you how the law enforcement agencies and the armed forces are wasting the resources they have (which incidentally all come from us). Bastards.

Does anyone remember that cartoon M.A.S.K.? The kid on that show, Scott Tracker, used to go around on that robot T-Bob that turned into a scooter. It looked just like this! Google it!

Can't do headshots? They're going to be screwed when the zombie invasion comes then.
If they can survive that long through the ridicule they'll get for riding these thing, that is.

I used to love that M.A.S.K. show! Maybe all these cops did too. Only now instead of getting the cool flying car they got stuck with the sidekick-mobile. Ah well, maybe someday they'll get that car.

I used to walk out the door in the morning as a citizen. Now I'm a walking target. "Mobile Defenders" ---- shouldn't they call them "Mobile Assaulters"?

The security guards at the mall by my house have something like this. A couple have segways, but one bada$$ rolls in on his three wheels of mall justice. When they all hang out in one spot it looks like a gay-nerd army.

holy crap, the cops in my town just got one of these
It's almost as if it's intended to create more crime, because I almost ran over three people in town while laughing my ass off when I first saw the thing being used.

I saw this in use by a patrol officer in Cranford Nj, I almost lost control of my truck and ran him over due to my laughing.....

The Dallas Police Department has recently used it and found it superior to their trial with Sedgways. It has offered them better crowd control with siren and flashing red and blue lights. Laugh all you want, I tahink it has a future especially with fuel prices at the level of today.
