The Mio Knight Rider GPS unit is exactly what it sounds like -- a Knight Rider themed GPS unit. It has red blinking lights. Basically what you're paying for is the fact that Mio got William Daniels (the distinguished voice of KITT) to do all the audio work. You choose your name from a long list, and then the unit will address you as so, making you feel a little more Knight Rider-y and a little less Minivan Rider-y. The MSRP is around $270 and they hit streets in the fall. Now before you run out and buy one, be warned: a Knight Rider GPS unit will not get you laid, it will only get you to your destination.*
*Vaginaville and Poontown excluded.

I'd be more interested in one that sounded either like HAL or Samuel L. Jackson. Especially since my car looks nothing like KITT.

Holy crap, this is actually kind of cool!
Well...except for the fact that the only really cool thing about KITT was that he could drive the car himself. On second thought, this is more like KITT's handicapped brother CRIPP, the Stephen Hawking of car super-heroes. Nope, not so cool. If I were single I'd still think about buying it, though. :)

If I could use voice commands instead of poking around in menus, I'd consider it. What's the fun in haveing a KITT GPS if you can't acutally talk to it as if it was a functional personality?
