May 7 2008The Naturmobil Is A One-Horsepower Vehicle

naturmobil.jpg

The Naturmobil is the brainchild of Dubai (you know, the United Arab Emirate that's always building crazy stuff) resident Abdolhadi Mirhejazi. It's a one-horsepower vehicle. Literally! Can you see the horse in there? He walks on that treadmill, which both powers the vehicle and charges a battery. I don't know if they have to dangle a carrot over his head or not.

Mirhejazi also discovered the horse can power two LCD advertising screens mounted on the sides of the Naturmobil.

"Bearing in mind the originality and uniqueness of the idea, Naturmobil was designed and built to achieve the maximum level of attention from its audiences," said his marketing manager, F. Minooeifar.

Wait a minute. This Mirhenjazi character has a marketing manager? I don't have a damn marketing manager. Of course, I don't have a one-horsepower eco-vehicle either. What I do have is a wicked magic act that features two mind-blowing card tricks. I'm seeking representation. Anybody interested? Come on, I can even work a pigeon into the act.

Several more pictures, including one of the device that catches the horse's crap while he's walking (I know I was curious), after the jump.

Why not just ride a horse?

@1

my thoughts exactly...

I see anti animal cruelty groups loading their guns already.

@1 yes you have a point until it starts to rain, then things makes all the sense in the world.

@3 it's Dubai, from what I understand they're cruel as hell to their work force so why not be cruel to animals too. However how is this any more cruel than actually riding the horse, if anything he doesn't have to carry some one's fat ass around

That's wrong.

some people need to be slapped. this is just....a caveman would look at this thing. and say. smart comments. about it. because its that damn stupid.

You took the thought right out of my head @1.

No, why not just have the horse pull the thing like a regular carriage.

Can you imagine what the inside of that Eco Mobile or whatthef***everitis smells like in 100 degree weather?

You're better off behind the horse, than surrounded (suffocated by) the smell...

my thought is... where do the horse sized turds go?

My thought is.....look at the last damn picture.....

It stands for the horses oppressed Kentucky derby or something

Talk about putting the carriage before the horse

seriously this already exists its called a wagon, the horse pulls it

While I can't say that this thing is a good idea, i have a possibly better (or more stupid) idea. Loose all that extra crap and train a horse (lol, like this would work) so that you could put wheels, with small generators in them for screens, etc, on the horse's legs and put a braking/regenerative braking control on the horse's head/neck or in the bit so the horse can stop itself. You could even train the horse to the point (no f'ing way, ever) where a rider would be unnecessary! Also it would be, literally to this thing, outside the box thinking. Keep an eye out for rolling cyber-horses in the future.

Well, if is kind of smart in the fact that the horse now doesn't have to pull or carry anything, all it has to do is walk.

Well this invention be around a while though? Nope.

Oh no! poor horse. see folks this is a product of boredom.

The "poop collector" can't be for collecting feces. Its placed too far forward. Also it has a tiny tube (relative to horse poop) leading out from it. I theorize that the poop is disregarded, and the container is for urine. This makes sense because poop will just roll out your ecomobile, but urine will stink it up and stick.

Suckers!
This is obviously a hoax.
