May 30 2008I Want This Boat -- The Wallypower 118

The $33 million Wallypower 118 is the boat of my dreams. Its 118 feet are powered by five engines -- 2 diesels for tooting around the marina, and 3 jet turbines, for pirating at over 70 MPH. At top speed it guzzles a liter of fuel per second, which limits the range of its 22 ton fuel tanks to 400 nautical miles (compared to 1,500 nm if you're just putting around with the diesels at 9 knots). I could go on and on about how I want to get one and pirate my life away, but instead I'll just say this: I take back all the mean things I said about the guy that has sex with cars, because I would totally do this boat.
A TON more pictures that you WILL look at because I spent a lot of time editing them (and there's one of a chick in a bikini from 50 miles away). Also, some videos.

Thanks Raul, lets go halvsies and cruise the open seas for chicks. Or mermaids. Or treasure. Actually, I don't give a shit what we're doing, as long as we've got the yacht and call each other by pirate names. And don't worry, I didn't really mean that thing about having sex with the boat. I think.

Sweet. According to the video, the top speed is 70 *knots* - which is over 80 mph.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure it's the exact same boat from "The Island", they made a big deal about it when the movie came out.

First presented 3+ years ago, It has been featured in mainstream media "the Island" and an episode of UK´s "Topgear" and the entire frint deck infront of the seating can be raised to expose a small boat with crane. F Y I...

Wow, nice. It has a terrible name, though. Wallypower? As in, the power of a weakling? Ugh.
13. Kristin - May 30, 2008 2:14 PM
Has no one seen the movie The Island? That is the boat from that movie
14. daguz - May 30, 2008 2:30 PM
this boat is a real 24k gem. like $24k for each fill up.
15. Ruwani - May 30, 2008 2:39 PM
On the BBC show Top Gear they did an segment contrasting this with the new Pagani Zonda... oh, man, that was an absolutely droolworthy show.
16. guate6 - May 30, 2008 2:41 PM
I must say, that I LOVE the Top gear video. The whole damn thing is Carbon Fiber (or Fibre)...even the fricking TOILET SEAT!!
I want it a lot, yesterday.
17. feckless - May 30, 2008 2:43 PM
I see at least seven places on that boat that I want to have sex on.
18. Raul - May 30, 2008 2:44 PM
Writer: let's totally go halfsies on this thing. Pirate names are a must, and we need a pet. I can't afford a parrot, but I have some turtles, and we can totally be fierce. That and I am a rum aficionado, so we'll get only the best, and the rum will NEVER be gone!!
AAARRRR
19. Raul - May 30, 2008 2:45 PM
PS.
About the sex with the boat, as long as it's not on the same spot I do it in, then we're cool.
(face it, it's just practice...with a boat like that, scoring = cake (read: easy)).
20. michelle - May 30, 2008 3:37 PM
Damn, guess i should have paid better attention to the movie....
21. batboat - May 30, 2008 5:48 PM
This is what Batman's boat would really look like.
22. Bakabear - May 30, 2008 7:33 PM
Is it wrong if i have wet dreams about this tonight?
23. nullCRC - May 30, 2008 11:41 PM
wasn't this in "The Island"?
24. douche bag - June 1, 2008 12:07 AM
thats the most AWESOME thing i ve ever seen
25. Maersk - June 1, 2008 6:52 AM
that is SO - FRIGGIN - AWESOME
Other than being a super fucking cool speedboat, its also an execution machine: turn on the jet engines and just lower your victim's head down below deck to watch his head get ripped off by a 350mph, 10-ton jet of super-heated water
26. Raul - June 2, 2008 12:44 AM
Writer: remind me to lose #25's invitation to the boat party
27. Jim Jones - June 2, 2008 9:34 AM
Hate to pay the gas bill on that sucker.
28. PUTTPUTT - June 3, 2008 4:11 AM
It requires $10 million of fuel to run once. :(
29. Andrew W - June 6, 2008 8:07 AM
They weren't kidding about expensive. I just did the math. A full tank of petrol will cost you around $22,000USD (thats 400nm). So yea.. that be awesome to throw out 22k every Sunday afternoon.
And yes, I too thought about "The Island" when looking at this boat.
30. Phy - June 10, 2008 3:29 AM
Obviously nobody actually saw The Island. Ask the Iwatchstuff guy, I'm sure he'll corroborate. As far as Michael Bay movies go, everyone saw Armageddon, skipped a decade and then caught Transformers.
31. speeedracer - June 10, 2008 9:28 PM
holy shit, welcome to 5 YEARS AGO. this has been floating around the 'net for forever. it's even older than rocks. and yes, it was the boat from 'the island', which it ad been around for at least a year before that. next thing you'll be featuring is the rising trend of these things called 'blogs'
32. THAT guy - June 11, 2008 12:40 AM
if you think this is a nice boat... check out the mega yachts and giga yachts you can buy from wally.... gooood godddddddddd!!
33. THAT guy - June 11, 2008 12:44 AM
whoops another thing to think about is... are you really gonna want to be rippin through the water all day with that thing? 400 nautical miles on one tank of gas is a lot of boating for one day.... and with just the diesel engines you can go for a nice cruise along the ENTIRE east coast of the US and then some.... maybe start in canada and go all the way through the keys on one tank of gas.... not to mention this thing actually massive beyond belief and wicked heavy so for it to do all that on 22k in gas, your gettin your moneys worth on your own private cruise to wherever the hell you wanna go whenever you wanna go there.
34. Garuda - June 13, 2008 2:09 PM
It is quite nice, but Im sure given engine tech and material, building and architectural knowledge they could make the boat a bit more efficent.
35. Artemiy - June 13, 2008 5:55 PM
Wallypower? Gah, that's really a ridiculous name for a boat. It's Renovatio and nothing else.
36. Zippy - June 14, 2008 11:12 AM
Hey, if you really want to show the world how big your balls are, you can get the Wallypower 125!
37. Timothy - June 15, 2008 9:26 PM
OMG that boat is so cool i would pay way more than $33 million for it!!!!!!
(not priced right)
38. dennis the menace - June 15, 2008 9:35 PM
awww crap that boat wont fit in garage!!!
or my backyard!!!!!!!!!!!!
39. HL - June 16, 2008 12:47 AM
its name in "the island" was RENOVATIO, way better than wallypower....
40. diesel - June 16, 2008 3:35 PM
i'd wud lik to make sm modification in d engine section, lik wud lik to install an engine extra which wud be fuel efficient along wid odr 5 engines. 1 LITRE/ per sec mannn tht aches a lot, or may be a small nuclear power plant. Then d fun 'll be more
n yeah guys check out wallyisland king of all yatch
